BIBLICAL PROSPERITY

Joshua 1: 8, 9
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth, but thou shalt meditate therein day and night that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein; for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed; for the LORD thy GOD is with thee wherever thou goest.

THE WORD OF THE LORD IS MIGHTY

The "Book of the Law" set in motion the plan of GOD coming to the people. The Pentateuch was to be read to the people and they were to meditate on it day and night. Today, we have the Word of the LORD in Holy Scripture for everyone to read on his/her own. It is interesting that people have many copies of the Holy Scripture on their book shelves, but read the Word less than the people who had it read to them by the leaders. I marvel at this fact, because the Holy Scripture contains all that is needed for health and salvation; quality of life and good conduct.

When we read, study and inwardly digest the Word of the LORD, we enable ourselves to prosper and have good success. The LORD has given guidance to His people that will never fail. He has given plans, formulas and methods that are proven to be successful by those who follow them. GOD knows the beginning from the end, to follow Him and His way means success and prosperity.

In verse 9, God says, "Have I not commanded thee? Be strong and of good courage". This is a command from GOD; we are to be strong in the LORD and courageous to do His will without faltering. The LORD GOD is with those who devote themselves to the way of the LORD.
