BIBLICAL PROSPERITY

Psalm 112: 1,2,3,7,8
Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man who feareth the LORD, who delighteth greatly in his commandments. His seed shall be mighty upon earth; the generation of the upright shall be blessed. Wealth and riches shall be in his house; and his righteousness endureth forever... He shall not be afraid of evil tidings; his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD. His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies.

HIS HEART IS FIXED; HIS HEART IS ESTABLISHED

When we walk through troubled waters and we are tempted to tremble in fear, the fixed and established heart will turn to the LORD. The fixed and established heart will hide under the shelter of the Almighty and be safe; the eye of their heart looks to the LORD for help in the time of need.

WHAT ABOUT THE TIMES OF PROSPERITY?

Where is your heart during the good times, those times of smooth living when thing are going well? This is a time when devotion to GOD gets fixed and established. The practice of living a GODLY life, prepares a person for the times of trial. A student who has studied well throughout the semester, does not fear the exams; he only has to review the material. Likewise, during the good times, we must study and practice righteous living. When the trial of our faith comes, we can say, with David, "My heart is fixed, O LORD, my heart is fixed".

What is your desire for your enemies? For the answer, I turn to the life of JESUS who came from Glory to earth to save HIS enemies. My desire for my enemies is that they come to the full knowledge and love of JESUS, be saved and find in JESUS perfect love and perfect forgiveness. A world filled with people who love GOD and love their neighbor as themselves, would be heaven on earth; the beauty of JESUS would shine forth.

FIX YOUR HEART ON GOD; ESTABLISH YOUR WAY IN THE LORD
