THE POWER OF PRAISE

The Acts 16:25,26
And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto GOD; and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed.
"At the midnight hour, let me feel Your power"
are the words of a modern song of praise. What is the "midnight hour"? It is the hour of greatest darkness. Spiritually speaking, it is the hour of greatest darkness in our life. It is the time when all seems lost and we can not see the "light at the end of the tunnel".
It was at the "midnight hour" that Paul and Silas began to sing praises to GOD. The Scripture says that the prisoners heard the singing. It does not say that the prisoners joined them in singing praises to GOD. What opened the door to the powerful manifestation of the might of GOD was the prayer and praises of the faithful people. They changed the atmosphere of the prison and GOD began to shake the foundations with an earthquake. This earthquake opened the prison doors and the captives went free. The bondage was broken, the chains fell off of everyone.
Spiritually, when the atmosphere of doom and gloom is broken by the prayer and praises of the faithful; GOD acts with a display of His might. Doors open; chains fall off; foundations of the trouble quake and fall away.
Deliverance happens to all involved.
Notice that all the prisoners were set free. Notice, too, in verses 27-34, that the jailer and his household were brought to salvation by Paul and Silas. No one in this story was left out. Praise of GOD opened the door for everyone to be saved and delivered.
IT IS GOD'S WILL THAT ALL SHALL BE SAVED AND DELIVERED, BECAUSE HE LOVES US ALL.
