THE POWER OF PRAISE

Thursday, April 22, 2010
Matthew 21: 16b
Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise.
The verse in Matthew is almost a direct quote of Psalm 8:2a. The difference is that the end of that verse, which says: "ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger." This clarification of the term "perfected praise" gives us the understanding that praise is strength to combat enemies and silence foes. One of the powerful effects of praise of GOD, is that it is a weapon against the enemy of our soul.
There are other understandings about the power of praise in our life:
1. God has commanded praise. Psalm 150:6 says: "Let everything that hath breath praise the LORD".
2. Praise glorifies GOD
3. Praise pleases GOD
4.Praise has a progression. As a person goes deeper into their relationship with GOD, the praise goes higher.
5. Praise is a weapon of warfare, pulling down strongholds of the enemy.

WITH ALL YOUR HEART; LET'S JUST PRAISE THE LORD FOR ALL HE HAS DONE!
