Hebrews 9:14,15
How much more shall the Blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to GOD, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living GOD? And for this cause He is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they who are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
Those words, "eternal inheritance" stand out for me. Eternal, means: without end, endless. The willing offering of JESUS as the sacrifice for our sins, opened the door for us to eternally live with Him and receive all the inheritance that is His. In other words, we are "part of the family of GOD" by the choice of GOD Himself. We are a chosen people, a royal priesthood and a Holy Nation, we have been given the right to enter into the Throne Room of GOD and to commune with Him as a family member.
How do I say thanks for all that He has done for me? What can I do to return the love that He has shown to me?
The answer is: to Love Him and serve Him; praise Him and Glorify Him among the people; Faithfully follow Him and obey His voice.
There is a saying which I like very much: "By faith, we are saved; works are the fruit of our salvation." The mediator of the New Testament has opened the way for us to be witnesses of the Salvation which He has prepared for all who follow Him. He has changed our life forever and now we can be the instruments of GOD in the salvation call to others.
JESUS IS THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE; NO MAN COMETH UNTO THE FATHER BUT BY HIM.
