Colossians 2:18,19
Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshiping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, and not holding the Head, from whom all the body of joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of GOD.
This is a warning, pass to us from GOD through the Apostle Paul. The word, "beguile" is very important. It means to lure or tempt; to draw, as with a magnet; to deceive or cheat. There are many very attractive people who are so compelling, that many people follow them and worship them. They exhibit false humility and sell the spirituality of angels and talismans. They are only leading the followers into a false worship, which could cost them their eternal life. They dabble into things which are unseen and lie about having seen them. They are arrogant and puffed up about their unique ability, causing people to worship and follow them. DO NOT BE DECEIVED.
The way to stay clean and free from the luring call of the false spirituality, is to keep your eye on JESUS, study and feast on His Word and pray without ceasing. Where your focus is, there will your mind be; where your mind is, there your heart will be; and where your heart is, your mouth will speak. If your heart is fixed on JESUS, His life and way; if your mind is stayed on Him, you will not hear the seductive call of the false ones.
When you "hold to the Head" which is Christ, you will increase with the increase of GOD. GOD'S promises will be manifest and you will see the hand of the LORD move strongly. THE GLORY WILL BE TO GOD ALONE, NOT TO ANY OTHER ENTITY. This is THE most important fact. TO GOD BE THE GLORY GREAT THINGS HE HATH DONE.
