Hebrews 13: 20, 21.
Now the GOD of peace, that brought again from the dead our LORD JESUS, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the Blood of the everlasting Covenant, make you perfect in every good work to do His will, working in you that which is well-pleasing in his sight, through JESUS Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.
THE BLOOD OF THE EVERLASTING COVENANT
It is through the Blood of JESUS that peace was made between GOD and man. Through His Blood, an Everlasting Covenant was sealed forever. "GOD and Man at table hath set down"; this song tells of the Everlasting Covenant which bridged the gap between GOD and man, allowing both to sit at the same table in peace.
We need to establish our heart in this; that GOD made it possible for us to sit with Him. GOD raised JESUS from the dead. It is GOD who worketh in us both to will and to do of His good pleasure (Phil. 2: 13). The work of perfection is done in us by the Holy Spirit of GOD, who knows the meaning of perfection. We cannot know what constitutes the perfect will of GOD for our life. As we look back, we can see the trail of GOD working in us, but we do not know what tomorrow brings; GOD knows our tomorrows and our tomorrows endlessly.
Our future is in the Hand of GOD and our life is in His Hands; He does the work and we yield our self to Him. Only trust Him and see the wonders that unfold as we are raised to newness of life in Him.
