Proverbs 3: 9, 10
Honor the LORD with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase; so shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.
"If you do verse 9, you will get verse 10" these are the words of our Pastor as he taught on the fact of giving and receiving. Verse 9 says "give"; verse 10 says "you shall receive".
When people are in gross poverty, it is hard to part with the tithe to the LORD. Remember the tithe that the poor widow gave and the comment of JESUS as He observed her gift; "For all these have, of their abundance, cast in unto the offerings of GOD, but she, of her penury (poverty), hath cast in all the living that she had." Remember that all things come from the LORD, so of His own we give Him. Remember that the LORD spared nothing, not even His own Son, so that we might have life.
Do we trust the LORD with all of our life? Can we say with Proverbs 3:5, that we "trust in the LORD with all our heart"? Do we doubt that the LORD will provide and that we will have "barns filled with plenty, and presses bursting out with new wine"?
In the language of the Sudanese (pardon my spelling) "Ruge tani, ruge tani, ruge tan Jesu; ne wak wak ta, ne wak wak ta, ne wak wak so na. " Only trust him, only trust Him, only trust JESUS; He will save you, He will save you, He will save you now."
ONLY TRUST HIM, HE WILL SAVE YOU NOW
