Rahab's house, on the wall of Jericho was saved from the destruction of the wall and the killing of the inhabitants of Jericho. GOD redeemed Rahab and her family; the sign was the "scarlet thread" the sign of the Blood on her house. A shadow, in the Old testament, of the Blood of JESUS.
Rehab is in the lineage of JESUS (Matthew 1: 5) as the mother of Boaz. Her redemption and the redemption of her family had a purpose; the spotless lineage of the Messiah.
Our life and salvation by the Blood of JESUS has a purpose; that purpose is known to GOD who sees the beginning and the end. What we are called to do is to live our life unto the LORD and plead the Blood of JESUS over our life and the life of our family. Cover all our family with the precious Blood of JESUS and the work of the enemy will not touch them, nor will destruction come near them. They and we are covered by the Blood of JESUS.
REMEMBER THE SCARLET THREAD; REMEMBER THE BLOOD ON THE DOORPOST; REMEMBER THE PASSOVER; REMEMBER THE BLOOD OF JESUS POURED ON THE MERCY SEAT FOR YOU.
