GETHSEMANE - PLACE OF PRAYER

Mark 14:26
And when they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.

What is so significant about the Mount of Olives? In many places in the Scripture, JESUS went to this Mount, which had a beautiful garden, to pray. When He went to a "solitary place", it was probably the Mount of Olives; when He went up into the mountain, it was probably the Mount of Olives.

Olive trees produce fruit that gives oil for anointing. To quote Pastor Randy, "The anointed One when to the Mount of anointing" to pray. The Mount of Olives could be called, "prayer mountain"; JESUS went there before He taught and after He was finished ministering.

Where is your prayer mountain? Where do you go to be in prayer in the morning and in the evening? JESUS sometimes prayed all night in His prayer Mountain, do you? What do you take with you to your prayer mountain? JESUS went alone or with close friends; most of the time He went alone. Is JESUS calling you to the prayer mountain, your Mount of Olives, to commune with Him? GO TO THE MOUNTAIN AND SIT IN THE PRESENCE OF THE HOLY ONE, HE IS CALLING YOU.
