Luke 22:43
And there appeared an angel unto Him from heaven, strengthening Him.
Matthew 4:11
Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto Him.
ANGELS HELP IN STRENGTHENING THE SAINTS OF GOD
The two verses above are part of accounts of significant times in the life of JESUS. In the first, He was in the Garden of Gethsemane, in the most agonizing time of prayer, before He was lead away to be brutally treated and crucified. In His time of prayer, He sweat Blood and felt the heaviness of being totally abandoned by His friends. The angel appeared to Him and, according to the Greek words, "Put strength into him".
In the next verse, from Matthew, JESUS had just been tempted by the devil in the wilderness.
After JESUS said, "Begone, Satan!" angels came and ministered unto Him. Again, we find that the angels "put strength into Him."
What can we gain from this understanding? When we are in trouble, having been greatly tested, tried, out of our own strength and brought very low by the circumstances of life; GOD will dispatch angels to put strength into us, just like JESUS. We are never without the strength to complete the ministry and mission given to us by GOD. Everything we go through, has an eternal goal; the LORD will give the strength needed to accomplish that goal.
THE LORD WILL SHOW THE WAY SOMEHOW, FOLLOW HIM.
