John 17:23-26

I in them, and thou in Me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may behold My glory, which Thou hast given me; for Thou lovedst Me before the foundation of the world. O righteous Father, the world hath not known Thee; but I have known Thee, and these have known that Thou has sent Me. And I have declared unto them Thy Name, and will declare it, that the love with which Thou hast loved Me may be in them, and I in them.

John Chapter 17 is the Intercessory prayer of the Only Begotten Son of GOD. Jesus knew that His earthly life was coming to an end, and that He would be returning to the Father. But first, He must suffer, and die at the hand of evil. JESUS knew that all things necessary for the redemption of the world, which He loved, were in His Hands. He had said, "yes" to this path and now, He must walk it; not for Himself, but for all the world - past, present and future. This was the "cup" that He must drink.

Before the shedding of His Blood, as the Pascal Lamb, on the Cross-Altar; JESUS prayed for the world from His Heart. His work on earth was finished; He had accomplished all, but the last few steps of His journey. He now prays for us all. Read John 17 from the beginning, on this Good Friday. See the love JESUS has for you and for me. This is His Heart interceding for us all.

When He was dying, that cruel death on the cross, JESUS, again interceded for us when He said: "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do." His forgiveness of us all; His Blood shed for us all; His Blood covering the Mercy Seat in the Heavenly Temple; is the free gift of unconditional Mercy, and Love.

Receive Him and receive Life for ever. JESUS is the way, the Truth and the Life. LIVE IN HIM
