2 Kings 4: 2
And Elisha said unto her, "What shall I do for thee? Tell me, what hast thou in the house?" And she said, "Thine handmaid hath not anything in the house, except a pot of oil."
TWO KEYS TO YOUR MIRACLE
The first key is in the first question that Elisha asks the widow; "What shall I do for thee?" Elisha knew what the woman needed, but she had to ask. Asking is a form of prayer. We have not our miracle, because we do not ask for it in faith believing and not wavering. Philippians 4:6 says, "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto GOD."
KEY 1 IS TO ASK
The second question,"Tell me, what has thou in the house?" is the next key to the miracle. In other words, "What do you have in your hand?" We often miss the miracle, because we do not look around us for the provision of GOD. We ask for things we want and GOD provides the thing we need. Oftentimes, the thing we need is right at our fingertips, but we are looking somewhere else. GOD requires our participation in the unfolding of the miracle, so we have to look at what He sees; knowing that a little bit is the basis for great things. A little lunch of bread and fish fed 5000 men with the women and children with an abundance left over. Never underestimate GOD.
KEY 2 IS TO LOOK AT WHAT GOD HAS ALREADY PROVIDED, IT IS IN YOUR HAND.
