SOWING AND REAPING

Luke 6:37, 38
Judge not, and ye shall not be judged; condemn not and ye shall not be condemned; forgive, and ye shall be forgiven; give and it shall be given unto you; good measure,pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your your bosom. FOR WITH THE SAME MEASURE THAT YE MEASURE, IT SHALL BE MEASURED UNTO YOU AGAIN.

WHAT YOU SOW, YOU SHALL REAP

Notice that these verses and the ones before it, talk about "sowing and reaping". If you sow judgment, you reap judgment; condemnation and you reap the same. If you sow forgiveness, you will reap forgiveness; give and you will receive; measure out an amount and you will receive that measure in return. This is a Universal principle and is applicable in every sphere of life. It is a Law, some call it the Law of Reciprocity; I call it, GOD'S LAW.

It is this Law that caused Francis of Assisi to pray:
LORD, make me an instrument of your peace;
Where there is hatred, let me sow Love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is discord, union;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
Where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master, grant that I might not so much seek to be consoled,
as to console;
to be understood, as to understand;
to be loved, as to love.

For it is in giving, that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; it is in dying, that we are born to Eternal Life. So be it.
