I kings 3: 7-9
And now, O LORD my GOD, Thou hast made Thy servant king instead of David, my father; and I am but a little child; I know not how to go out or come in. And Thy servant is in the midst of Thy people, who cannot be numbered or counted for multitude. Give, therefore, Thy servant an understanding heart to judge Thy people, that I may discern between good and bad. For who is able to judge this Thy great people?
WHO IS ABLE TO JUDGE THIS THY GREAT PEOPLE?
Let this question ring in your thoughts; who is able to judge? Are we able to judge between good and bad? Do we see all sides of all issues? Does we see the heart of all people? What is good? What is bad? Who are good? Who are bad? Who is able to judge?
The answer to all the questions above can be summed up in one name, the Holy Name of JESUS. He, alone, can judge what and who are good or bad; He, alone can see the heart of every person; He, alone, has spoken the judgment and His judgment stands forever. In John 5: 26, 27, JESUS says, For as the Father hath life in Himself, so hath He given to the Son to have life in Himself; And hath given Him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of Man. And what is the judgment? Life to all who believe on His Name; mercy; forgiveness from sin.
Solomon humbled himself before the LORD and asked only for wisdom to govern the people of GOD. GOD was so pleased with his prayer that He granted those things that Solomon did not ask, but needed for success in the fulfillment of GOD'S plan. And the LORD will do the same for us. When we humble our self before the LORD, saying, just as JESUS said, "Never the less, not my will but Thy Will be done" "Thy will be done in earth as it is in Heaven" then He will hear from heaven and forgive our sins and heal our land. (II Corinthians 7:14). We are part of the plan of GOD, so He will provide what is needed to fulfill His plan in our life.
HUMBLE YOUR SELF IN THE SIGHT OF THE LORD, AND HE WILL LIFT YOU UP.
