Psalm 24:6-10
This is the generation of them who seek Him, who seek thy face, O Jacob.
Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lifted up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? the LORD of hosts, He is the King of glory.
This is the generation of them who seek the LORD. I know, there are many who are turning away from the LORD to seek after their own way of living. Soon, however, they will find out the folly of doing so, and will turn back to GOD. Are you ready to receive them back into the fellowship without condemnation and judgment?
Psalm 24 is the third of the Messianic Psalms: Psalm 22, depicts JESUS as the Good Shepherd who gives his life for the flock of GOD; Psalm 23 depicts JESUS as the Great Shepherd who watches, guards and keeps the flock of GOD, pasturing each and providing for each individual; Psalm 24 depicts JESUS as the Chief Shepherd who will come again as the strong mighty LORD of hosts. All three Psalms show JESUS as the one who brings prosperity to the people of GOD. This prosperity is in Physical and Spiritual wholeness. Why does JESUS bring this prosperity? Because He loves us.
This week, we will look at prosperity from the point of view of the Scripture, to see what the LORD calls prosperity. Today, think about the many ways in which the LORD has blessed your life with abundance. The old song says: "Count your many blessings name them one by one; and it will surprise you what the LORD has done."
