Galatians 6:9, 10
And let us not be weary in well doing; for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have, therefore, opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
PERSISTENCE IN WELL DOING
The service of GOD and others is a life time commitment. It is not a secondary commitment, like "I will serve others if I have time." No, we are called to a commitment of our life to the use of GOD for the good of His people.
Right now, we have the opportunity to do good in this world, the door is open for us to gather in the souls to JESUS. Many are calling out for help and we are the hands and feet of Christ, reaching out with the only help that has Eternal meaning. So, "Let us not be weary in well doing, for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not."
Look at the season of planting a garden and the harvest. We wait for the time when there is no frost or snow to kill the plant; we prepare the ground during the waiting time; when we plant the seeds or young plants, we wait for the plants or seeds to mature and bring forth fruit; then we harvest when the fruit/vegetables are ripe. There is a lot of waiting and watching, preparing and hoping, but we are persistent and faithful. The same persistence and waiting is true with prayer. The Apostle Paul reminds us that PERSISTENCE in prayer brings a response from the LORD.
WATCH, WAIT, FAINT NOT; FOR THE DAY OF THE LORD IS AT HAND.
THE LORD IS DEPENDING ON US AND SO ARE MANY SOULS.
