THE POWER OF INTERCESSION

Romans 8: 26, 27
Likewise, the Spirit also helpeth our infirmity; for we know not what we should pray for as we ought; but the Spirit Himself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And He that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because He maketh intercession for the saints according to the WILL OF GOD.

When JESUS sent His Holy Spirit at Pentecost, He sent the Spirit Who intercedes for us according to the WILL OF GOD. Perfect intercession is in the Hand of GOD; we present our petitions and supplications and the Holy Spirit prays them to the Father as a perfect prayer.  We do not know what to pray, but GOD does.

The Scripture is the Word of GOD, when we pray the Scripture, we are praying according to the will of GOD.  Here are some examples of praying the Scripture in intercession for another:
Psalm 23 - putting in the name of the one you are interceding for; "The LORD is ... Shepherd; ... shall not want.  put the name of the person where there is "I" or "me" in the rest of the Psalm.

Psalm 139: 1-18 "O LORD, Thou hast searched ... and known ..." read the rest of the Psalm replacing "I and me with the name of the person for whom you are interceding.

There are many other examples of Scripture prayers. You can also pray individual verses like: "by His Stripes I am healed" or Jeremiah 29: 11, "for I know the thoughts that I think toward ..., saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give ... an expected end"  - put the person's name in this prayer.

INTERCESSION IS BRINGING TO GOD THOSE IN NEED FOR HIS SPECIAL ATTENTION.
