Ministry of Angels-continued

John 5: 2-4
Now there is at Jerusalem, by the sheep gate, a pool, which is called in Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches. In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, lame, paralyzed, waiting for the moving of the water. For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water; whosoever then first, after the troubling of the water, stepped in was made whole of whatever disease he had.

Before the time of JESUS, healing and miracles were limited to a certain few people; after JESUS came, all who were sick were made whole. The touch of JESUS, healed the sick, as we see in the rest of the story of the man at the pool of Bethesda. In verse 8 we read: "JESUS saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed and walk. The man was immediately healed.

ANGELS ASSIST IN HEALING AND IN MIRACLES

Angels will be involved in setting the atmosphere for people to be open to healing, but it is JESUS who touches and heals. In our life, we can turn to JESUS at any time and ask for His healing touch. He is always present with us and present to us. All we have to do is ask.

Many ask: "Why have I not been healed? I ask and ask and nothing happens." The more we ask, the more we pray, the more we draw into the Holy Presence of GOD, the more we feast on His Word; the more healed we become. Wholeness is realized when the mind, body and spirit are in harmony and unity with JESUS. It is through this unity that JESUS casts out all dis-ease. Something always happens when a person comes to the LORD and asks for His help in the time of need. His Love, mercy and compassion reaches to us through the conduit of faith and we become whole.

Luke 16: 22
And it came to pass that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom; the rich man also died, and was buried.

ANGELS HELP IN ESCORTING SOULS TO GOD AFTER DEATH

The question often arises, "I thought that JESUS came and escorted souls to GOD?" The answer is in another question: "Where is the bosom of Abraham?"

The "Bosom of Abraham" is another term for Paradise, a place of waiting for the resurrection of JESUS. This is the place where JESUS visited to lead the souls, who were awaiting the promise, into Heaven. All souls before JESUS were escorted by angels; after the resurrection of JESUS from the dead, He leads all souls to Heaven.

There were souls who were transported into the presence of GOD by chariots and horses of fire, just like Elijah. (II Kings 2:11); these, too, are angels of GOD with a specific ministry (Psalm 68:17).

In the story of Lazarus and the rich man, told by JESUS, we find that the poor beggar was carried to a place of life; the rich man, who had ignored the cry of the poor, was buried. He begs for help, but there is a gulf between him and Lazarus could not help the rich man, with even a drop of water.

JESUS message to the world is a message of LOVE, care, compassion and mercy. Those who show mercy, shall receive mercy; those who give love, will receive unconditional love in return.
The compassion of JESUS is the compassion we are to give to all people, especially those in most need of mercy.

LOVE IS OF GOD AND EVERYONE WHO LOVES IS BEGOTTEN OF GOD AND KNOWS GOD

Ministry of Angels-continued

Bless the LORD, ye His angels, that excel in strength, that do His commandments, hearkening unto the voice of His Word.

GOD ALONE IS WORSHIPED; ANGELS DO THE BIDDING OF JESUS.

The LORD GOD alone is to be worshiped and adored by us. Angels do the bidding of JESUS, following His instructions and bringing good guidance from Him to us. Angels are not independent thinkers, they follow instruction.

Last week, we saw how angels helped in ministry: 1. They are "GOD'S invisible helpers", ministering to the heirs of salvation; 2. they help in delivering in time of trouble; 3. they strengthen the saints of GOD; 4. they reveal GOD'S Word; and 5. they help in conversion. We looked at many Scriptures about each topic, which you can review, by checking last week's posting.

This week, we will discuss 4 more ways in which angels help the heirs of salvation. I invite you to review past weeks and to follow this week as we look deeply into the
TRUTH ABOUT ANGELS.

Acts 10:21,22
Then Peter went down to the men who were sent unto him from Cornelius, and said,"Behold, I am he whom ye seek, What is the cause for which ye came?" And they said, "Cornelius, the centurion, a righteous man, and one that feareth GOD, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from GOD by an holy Angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words of thee."

ANGELS HELP IN CONVERSION

The LORD sends angels, at times, to give messages to humans. These messages are to lead them to a purpose or plan of GOD. These are specific messages which lead to the conversion of the person to JESUS Christ. At this point, I want to mention a Scripture that is very important for all of us to follow: I John 4: 1,2 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but test the spirits whether they are of GOD; because many false prophets are gone into the world. By this know ye the Spirit of GOD: every spirit that confesseth that JESUS Christ is come in the flesh, is of GOD.

There are many voices in this world, which claim to give direction and counsel to humans. It is up to each person to test those voices and what they say. The first true test is, if the spirit confesses that JESUS Christ has come in the flesh. There is another test; does what the spirit say agree with the Scripture. Direction and counsel should be confirmed by other spirit-filled Christians, this is why we must never neglect our meeting together with Christians and must read the Scripture daily. In prayer, we can ask JESUS whether this word is from Him. Since He commands the Angels, He also gives them the word to speak, so, if the word is from Him, He will confirm His counsel.

The conversion of every soul to JESUS is of utmost importance. We must be diligent in our quest for open doors for utterance of the Gospel of JESUS. When the LORD opens that door, we must be ready with the good news that JESUS Christ came in the flesh, died on the cross for us, rose from the dead and is seated at the right hand of the Father having carried his precious Blood into the Holy Place, as the perfect atonement for our sins. "By His Blood He reconciled us; by His wounds we are healed."

Open our eyes, O LORD, to see the great multitude of angels who watch over us; Angels, sent by You, to comfort your children. Amen

Hebrews 2:2-4
For of the word spoken by angels was steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompense of reward, How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the LORD, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard Him. GOD also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with diverse miracles and gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to His own will?

ANGELS HELP IN REVEALING GOD'S WORD

Angels came to mediate the Law. They were given the task of speaking the Law and assisting humans to keep the Law. JESUS, the Christ is the mediator of the New Covenant and He puts the law of love in our heart. He has called us to be the ambassadors of the Gospel of JESUS Christ, carrying the Gospel to every person, place and thing.

II Corinthians 5:20 says: "Now, then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though GOD did beseech you by us; we beg you in Christ's stead, BE RECONCILED TO GOD."

JESUS has accomplished all that is required for our salvation. He fulfilled the Law, was the sacrifice for our sin, and carried His Blood into the the very Throne Room of Heaven, pouring it upon the Mercy Seat; He bought us back from the chains of death, by conquering death and the grave. JESUS paid it all, all to Him I owe. Life is found in Him; choose life and live.

Hallelujah, praise ye the LORD!!!

Luke 22:43
And there appeared an angel unto Him from heaven, strengthening Him.
Matthew 4:11
Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto Him.

ANGELS HELP IN STRENGTHENING THE SAINTS OF GOD

The two verses above are part of accounts of significant times in the life of JESUS. In the first, He was in the Garden of Gethsemane, in the most agonizing time of prayer, before He was lead away to be brutally treated and crucified. In His time of prayer, He sweat Blood and felt the heaviness of being totally abandoned by His friends. The angel appeared to Him and, according to the Greek words, "Put strength into him".

In the next verse, from Matthew, JESUS had just been tempted by the devil in the wilderness.
After JESUS said, "Begone, Satan!" angels came and ministered unto Him. Again, we find that the angels "put strength into Him."

What can we gain from this understanding? When we are in trouble, having been greatly tested, tried, out of our own strength and brought very low by the circumstances of life; GOD will dispatch angels to put strength into us, just like JESUS. We are never without the strength to complete the ministry and mission given to us by GOD. Everything we go through, has an eternal goal; the LORD will give the strength needed to accomplish that goal.

THE LORD WILL SHOW THE WAY SOMEHOW, FOLLOW HIM.

Acts 12:11
And when Peter was come to himself, he said, "Now I know of a surety that the LORD hath sent His Angel, and hath delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and from all the expectation of the people of the Jews".

HELP IN DELIVERING IN TIME OF TROUBLE

A
ngels are sent by GOD to minister to the needs of people, and give them a message right from the Throne of GOD. God also gives them a mission, and one of their missions is deliverance. Peter was delivered from prison, by the direct intervention of an Angel.

Angels have been dispatched to deliver many people from the grip of trouble. Whole books are written about Angelic intervention. One thing is very clear, these Angels do not operate on their own, they are commanded. The one who commands the angels is JESUS.

ALL GLORY AND PRAISE BE TO GOD FOR EVER AND EVER; WHO DELIVERS US FROM BONDAGE BY HIS LOVE FOR US
