1 Chronicles 1621, 22
He suffered no man to do them wrong; yea, he reproved kings for their sakes, saying "touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm".
An example of this verse from 1 Chronicles is the story of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego in the Book of Daniel. King Nebuchadnezzar had built an idol of gold and commanded that all the people bow down to that idol or be thrown into the fiery furnace. Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego refused to bow to the idol, they believed in the One true and only GOD and served Him only. Even when everyone was bowing down to the idol, these three men stood firm and refused. They were thrown into the furnace, which had been stoked seven times hotter. In the furnace was seen a 4th man (the Son of GOD) and when the young men came out of the furnace, they were not singed nor smelled of smoke.
The LORD GOD reproved Kings for the sake of the faithful young men. The LORD GOD stood in the fire with the young men, protecting them from harm.
These young men were different from the rest of the people; they were determined to serve the LORD GOD and, for their faithfulness, they were delivered from the fire of the furnace. These men were devoted to GOD in their heart, soul, mind, and with all their might they said, " I will trust the LORD".
When the LORD GOD anoints a child of His, He will protect and "reprove kings for their sake". Say in your heart, Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him
