I Corinthians 15: 5-7
And that He was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve. After that, He was seen of above five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain unto this present time, but some are fallen asleep. After that, He was seen of James; then, of all the apostles.
EYE WITNESS PROOF OF THE RESURRECTION
JESUS rose from the dead and the Scripture, the empty tomb and eyewitnesses attest to this fact.
JESUS made sure that there would be no doubt in the mind of anyone that He, who was dead, is now alive. Yet, in the world today, there are many who still want proof. Many can't understand how a dead person could be resurrected from the dead and live; their minds are incapable of grasping this reality.
JESUS presented Himself to one of the Disciples who doubted the resurrection; Thomas, one of the twelve. Thomas said, "Except I shall see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my had into His side, I will not believe." (John 20: 25). JESUS came into the midst of the gathering of Disciples when Thomas was present and said to him, "Reach here thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach here thy hand, and thrust it into my side; and be not faithless, but believing." (John 20: 27). Thomas believed because he had seen and touched the LORD.
There are many souls who are waiting for a witness of JESUS, just like Thomas. They will not believe unless the see with their own eyes. JESUS knows who need to know in this way or who will trust Him by faith, believing the strong proofs of the Scripture, the empty tomb and the eye witnesses. To the doubters, who will only believe if they see and touch JESUS, JESUS says to them,
"BLESSED ARE THEY THAT HAVE NOT SEEN, AND YET HAVE BELIEVED." (John 20: 29)
JESUS IS RISEN, JUST AS HE SAID HE WOULD.
