REMEMBER GOODNESS AND MERCY

Psalm 23:6
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

THE BENEFIT OF GOODNESS AND MERCY

The goodness and mercy of GOD follows those who love JESUS; you can not go anywhere without them. The goodness and the mercy of GOD surrounds us with the blessed arms of the LORD; it is like the kiss of the LORD on our heart.

In all of life, there are troubling circumstances, but the fact is, that goodness and mercy are there to help in the time of need; this is the nature of Jesus. Why do we not feel their presence? because we are not looking for them; we think that we are alone in our circumstances.  This is not true, we are never alone in life, JESUS walks with us, the Holy Angels guard us and the full nature of GOD is manifest. Why don't we see them? because we are not looking for their manifestation. STOP, LOOK AND LISTEN!!!!! JESUS is calling you and goodness and mercy are following you.

There is another aspect to this reality; since goodness and mercy follow YOU, you are obligated to give goodness and mercy to others. When you give to others, goodness and mercy are strengthened and you receive back with abundance.  Those who reflect the nature of GOD will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

SURELY GOODNESS AND MERCY SHALL FOLLOW ME ALL THE DAYS OF MY LIFE.

REMEMBER WE WERE HEALED BY JESUS

1 Peter 2:24
Who his own self bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness; by whose stripes we were healed.

THE BENEFIT OF FORGIVENESS OF SINS

JESUS bore our sins on the Cross, so that we would not have to carry those sins around like a lead weight. The burden of sins is heavy and can drag down the best of us.  The guilt of the past can cause many to be dysfunctional and unable to live a healthy and normal life. JESUS bore our sins upon the cross, so that we would be free indeed; able to sing, rejoice and run the race that is set before us.

Wholeness and health in mind, body and spirit are only found in JESUS. He paid the price for us to live free and soar with the eagles. We are really dead indeed unto sin, but alive to GOD through JESUS Christ the LORD.

When you look at the Cross, know that the sins of the world were nailed there and the Blood of JESUS bathed those sins.  BY THE STRIPES OF JESUS WE WERE HEALED, RESTORED AND FORGIVEN. WALK IN VICTORY AND TOTAL FREEDOM IN JESUS.

REMEMBER THE COVENANT OF LOVE

Hebrews 8:10, 12
For this  is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the LORD: "I will put My laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts; and I will be to them a GOD, and they shall be to Me a people"... "For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more."

REMEMBER ALL HIS BENEFIT

GOD is a covenant GOD, when He makes a covenant with people, He is bound by that covenant, forever. The covenant that He has made, is a covenant of relationship based on mercy and forgiveness.  He will put the laws in the mind and write them in the heart; He will be GOD to us and we to Him. He will remember sins no more and He will look upon us with love. This is the covenant that was made and sealed with the Blood of JESUS.

For us to enter into that covenant, we must believe on the LORD JESUS Christ and be saved. JESUS paid the price for us, all we have to do is accept Him as our LORD and savior. GOD is a covenant GOD and we must agree to the terms of His covenant: Love the LORD GOD with all your heart, soul, mind and might, and love your neighbor as yourself. Say yes to JESUS, and all the benefits of the kingdom will be yours.

REMEMBER ALL HIS BENEFITS

Psalm 103:2, 3, 4, 5
Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits, Who forgiveth all thine iniquities, Who healeth all thy diseases, Who redeemeth thy life from destruction, Who crowneth thee with loving-kindness and tender mercies, Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things, so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.

FORGIVE, HEAL, REDEEM, CROWN AND SATISFY.

There are benefits to following the LORD GOD, benefits that can not be found on the human level. Sure, we can go to a Doctor for healing, but where did the Doctor get his knowledge and his medicine; we can go to a confessor, but he can not forgive our sin and cleanse us from all unrighteousness, only JESUS can. Only JESUS can redeem a life from destruction, setting the feet on the path to wholeness. People can give kindness and love, but only JESUS gives that loving-kindness and tender mercies to the deep place in the spirit. We can eat  and eat and eat good food, but is that food good for building up the person to wholeness?  Only in JESUS is the Spiritual food of new and unending life.

There is nothing in the flesh that can equal the magnitude of the benefits of GOD.  All things in the flesh fall short of the glory of GOD; in JESUS Christ, all things are good, gracious, merciful and full of love. We are truly satisfied in JESUS Christ.

TURN YOUR EYES UPON JESUS; LOOK FULL IN HIS WONDERFUL FACE, AND THE THINGS OF EARTH WILL GROW STRANGELY DIM, IN THE LIGHT OF HIS GLORY AND GRACE.

REMEMBER THE GOODNESS OF GOD

Psalm 103:1
Bless the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His Holy Name.

David asks three things in this simple verse, they are three things we should ask when we are down in our spirit.
David asks for purity of praise, "Bless the LORD, O my soul" he is asking for heart praise not just lip service praise.
David asks for abundance of praise, "all that is within me" He is asking for praise to be he natural part of every fiber of his being.
David asks for Holiness of praise, "Bless His Holy Name". David proclaims that the LORD GOD is Holy and is worthy of all praise at all times.

In the course of our daily life, it is important that our praise be pure, from the heart; that it be abundant, praise in all circumstances; and that it be Holy Praise worthy of the Holy GOD.  This kind of praise opens doors of the abundant life for all who believe in JESUS.

THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS AT HAND IN JESUS CHRIST; PRAISE HIS HOLY NAME!!!

REMEMBER THE GOODNESS OF GOD

MEMORIAL DAY MESSAGE
Psalm 103: 1, 2
Bless the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me bless his Holy Name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits.

Today is a day to remember and forget not the loving-kindness of GOD. David was in a terrible place, hunted down and his life threatened; yet he gave praise to GOD for all His benefits. David was reminding His soul of the goodness of GOD; he was telling himself that "if GOD be for us, who can be against us". David was remembering the goodness of GOD and it gave him strength.

The letter in Hebrew which means "remember"  is the letter "mem" which literally means "pronouncement, which refers to the ten pronouncements with which GOD created the world" (Tehillim pg. 1462) When we remember to articulate the Word of the LORD, and stand on His promises in the Living Word of GOD; all darkness will vanish and we will see the light of life.

Forget not all His benefits.  Praise the LORD in all things, thanking GOD for His great mercy and goodness.  BLESS THE LORD, O MY SOUL.

THE POWER OF INTERCESSION

Job 42:10
And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends; also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.

PRAY FOR OTHERS AND YOU WILL RECEIVE DOUBLE.

Job had lost everything except his faith in the LORD. The LORD honored that faith, when Job prayed for his friends.  Praying for others lifts a person from their own circumstances into union with GOD'S heart for others. This is powerful intercession, when you pray for others in trouble. I have heard that when you have a condition, pray for all others in similar condition: if you are in pain, pray for all others in pain; if you have a tooth ache, pray for all others who have toothaches, etc.

GOD knows your need, before you know to ask for help and He will meet your need, so pray for all others and your need will be met also.  JESUS takes care of His prayer partners, by providing for them in an abundant proportion; twice as much as we have had before. "FAITH IS THE VICTORY THAT OVERCOMES THE WORLD" Faith in our LORD JESUS Christ brings victory and abundant blessing.

PRAY FOR OTHERS AND YOU WILL RECEIVE DOUBLE.

LET'S TURN THIS WORLD INTO A NETWORK OF PRAYER PARTNERS WITH JESUS; INTERCEDING IN THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.

THE POWER OF INTERCESSION

Romans 8: 26, 27
Likewise, the Spirit also helpeth our infirmity; for we know not what we should pray for as we ought; but the Spirit Himself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And He that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because He maketh intercession for the saints according to the WILL OF GOD.

When JESUS sent His Holy Spirit at Pentecost, He sent the Spirit Who intercedes for us according to the WILL OF GOD. Perfect intercession is in the Hand of GOD; we present our petitions and supplications and the Holy Spirit prays them to the Father as a perfect prayer.  We do not know what to pray, but GOD does.

The Scripture is the Word of GOD, when we pray the Scripture, we are praying according to the will of GOD.  Here are some examples of praying the Scripture in intercession for another:
Psalm 23 - putting in the name of the one you are interceding for; "The LORD is ... Shepherd; ... shall not want.  put the name of the person where there is "I" or "me" in the rest of the Psalm.

Psalm 139: 1-18 "O LORD, Thou hast searched ... and known ..." read the rest of the Psalm replacing "I and me with the name of the person for whom you are interceding.

There are many other examples of Scripture prayers. You can also pray individual verses like: "by His Stripes I am healed" or Jeremiah 29: 11, "for I know the thoughts that I think toward ..., saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give ... an expected end"  - put the person's name in this prayer.

INTERCESSION IS BRINGING TO GOD THOSE IN NEED FOR HIS SPECIAL ATTENTION.

THE POWER OF INTERCESSION

JESUS PRAYS FOR US - 7 PETITIONS
John 17

Seven times JESUS prays for the Christians as given to Him by the Father: verse 2, 6 (twice), 9, 11, 12, 24.  There are also seven petitions: Eternal life, vs 2,3; Glory, vs. 5; Safety and joy, vs 11-15; Sanctification, vs. 17-19; Unity in the Spirit, vs. 20-22; Indwelling presence of GOD, vs. 23; Shared glory and eternal life with Him, vs 24-26. Seven is the number of completion and JESUS completed his work on earth and releases His Spirit to His Father, but not before interceding for us.

This is a model for us, we are to pray deeply, for others and bring all others into the safe fold of the eternal arms of GOD.

Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also who shall believe on Me through their word. (vs. 20).

THE POWER OF INTERCESSION

John 17: 2, 3
As Thou hast given Him power over all flesh; that He should give eternal life to as many as Thou hast given Him. And this is life eternal, that they might know Thee, the only true GOD, and JESUS Christ, Whom Thou hast sent.

The power of intercession rests in the fact, that when we intercede for others, we are one with the One who has "power over all flesh". Not only does JESUS have power over all flesh, but He has power over all created things. When we pray in agreement with JESUS, we are praying for life. GOD gives life and breath to all those who are one with His Son.

Is JESUS praying for the people of Moore, Oklahoma? Yes, He is and He stands with those who are suffering right now.  Is JESUS praying for the people who are suffering throughout the world? Yes, and He invites us to join Him and stand with Him as He stands with those who suffer.

AND THIS IS LIFE ETERNAL, THAT THEY MIGHT KNOW THEE, THE ONLY TRUE GOD, AND JESUS CHRIST WHOM THOU HAST SENT.

Here is the power of intercession.

THE POWER OF INTERCESSION

John 17:1
These words spoke JESUS, and lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said, "Father, the hour is come; glorify Thy Son, that Thy Son also may glorify Thee".
This is the prayer of JESUS as He gives the "ok" for the time of His passion and the redemption of humankind. Yes, GOD the Father always responds to the desire and permission of JESUS, just like GOD responded to the permission of Mary to conceive JESUS. GOD will never violate the will of the anointed One, who is GOD incarnate.  JESUS released His life to the Father, so that humankind could be saved through Him.

Intercession is "standing between" or standing in the gap for others. It is also, standing with another in their circumstances. Most powerful of all, it is standing with JESUS as He brings others, those whom He loves, to the Father. We become the prayer-partners of JESUS; our great High Priest, Who is forever making intercession for us.

Read John 17 and see how JESUS prays for others in intercession.  This is really the LORD'S Prayer to the Father and is a perfect model for us to pray in agreement with Him. We intercede with JESUS to bring glory to the Name of JESUS who glorifies the Father.  The power of the whole Trinity is with us as we intercede for the needs of others.

PLEASE INTERCEDE FOR THE PEOPLE OF MOORE, OKLAHOMA. PRAY FOR ALL PEOPLE, EVERYWHERE, WHO ARE IN MORTAL DANGER.

PENTECOST

Acts 2: 1-4
And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven like a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, AND BEGAN TO SPEAK WITH OTHER TONGUES, AS THE SPIRIT GAVE THEM UTTERANCE.

Notice Who initiated the mighty outpouring of the Holy Spirit; it came from GOD.  Today, the Church, which was born at Pentecost, receives the same mighty outpouring, coming directly from the Throne of Grace.  Notice, too, that the "tongues of fire " rested on each person.  This outpouring of the Holy Spirit is upon the Church and each member of it, individually, filling them with the fire of the Holy Spirit and His indwelling witness.

What about "tongues"? What are they for?  Tongues is a gift from GOD for prayer and ministry.  THIS IS THE LANGUAGE OF GOD, He hears it and knows it, because it is pure prayer from the Holy Spirit, Who is GOD.  It is the language of Ministry to and with others, when the Holy Spirit anoints, there is power and the manifestation of the Gift of GOD.

Notice that the disciples were in one accord, in heart, mind and spirit, and that they were together in one place.  I see in this the power of fellowship with like minded individuals.  We are admonished to not neglect the meeting together, it is both power and protection. Power, in that the Holy Spirit moves when two or three are gathered together in the name of JESUS; and protection from false doctrine and the onslaught of the enemy. DO NOT NEGLECT THE ASSEMBLING TOGETHER.

PRAY WITHOUT CEASING IN THE SPIRIT OF GOD

THE VIRTUOUS WOMAN

Proverbs 31: 23-31
The list of the virtues of the Virtuous Woman continues:
Her husband is known because of her virtuous life style
She is able to make money with her goods
She is strong and honored
She is wise and speaks kind words
She watches over her household and is not idle
Others have done virtuously, but she excels them all.
A WOMAN WHO FEARS THE LORD,  SHALL BE PRAISED. GIVE HER THE FRUIT OF HER HANDS AND LET HER OWN WORKS PRAISE HER IN THE GATES.

It is of little worth what others think about you, the only value is what GOD thinks. We are all in relationship with GOD through JESUS Christ, therefore, our devotion to Him is a reflection of our heart. Others may not understand our actions, but if they are guided by the Holy Spirit, they are right and righteous in the sight of GOD.

SUNDAY IS THE FEAST OF PENTECOST. MAY YOUR PENTECOST BE FILLED WITH THE MIGHTY WIND OF GOD BLOWING HIS POWER INTO YOU AND YOUR FELLOWSHIP; IN THE MIGHTY NAME OF JESUS

THE VIRTUOUS WOMAN

Proverbs 31: 13-27
There is a list in these verses that characterize the virtuous woman, here is the list:
She seeks...She works willingly
She shops for food and cloth
She rises early in the morning to care for her family and staff
She buys land and plants crops
She dresses well and exercises for strength
She stays up late
She sews and spins and weaves and knits
She gives to the poor and needy
Her household is warm and family clothed appropriately for the seasons
She dresses beautifully

The Virtuous woman cares for her family and for others, but does not neglect herself.  She is a good woman who will go to great lengths to provide for the household. Her husband and her children profit from her goodness and she never tires from doing good.

This is not only a virtuous woman, it is the manifestation of the character of GOD. GOD is willing to sacrifice His highest and His best for the good of others, but He never sacrifices His own integrity - GOD is obedient to His Word and His Covenant - when GOD speaks it is always true.

THE VIRTUOUS WOMAN

Proverbs 31:11, 12
The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil. She will do him good, and not evil, all the days of her life.

Trust and love, goodness and kindness are virtues that are exercised daily. The virtuous woman is trustworthy, loving, good and kind in the heart and shows those virtues from the inside out. Her husband feels safe with her and she feels safe with him. That bond of trust makes the home stable and secure.

We can take a lot from these two verses.  First of all, we must be trustworthy in the heart; always do good through acts of love and kindness. Next, be all of the great virtues in the heart, so that, whether being or doing a thing, those virtues radiate into the environment as sweetness. We are, literally, homemakers who make the home a haven of blessing and of peace.

The only way for all this goodness to be manifest 24/7 and in all circumstances, is for the Holy Spirit to do the work with in us and we yield to His work.  He is the atmosphere changer and the one who makes all thing work together for good.

VIRTUOUS WOMAN - HAPPY MOTHERS DAY

Proverbs 31: 10
Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies.

The question: Who can find a virtuous woman? is like a mirror held up to all women, through which each can look and examine their way of life. Read all of Proverbs 31: 10-31.This is like a measuring rod, against which a woman can measure her behavior. It is wonderful that when you look into the mirror, you will find things that are beautiful in yourself and things that need to change.  None of us can measure up to this picture, but it gives each of us a way and an idea how to be virtuous.

In the day in which we live, there are few who reach the mark. We can "press toward the mark for the high calling of GOD in Christ JESUS". The high calling of GOD for a woman is found in these verses in Proverbs 31: 10-31. These verses, in the Hebrew, are an acrostic - each verse begins with a letter of the Hebrew Alphabet - Therefore, this is known as the ABC of the perfect wife.

Let us ask JESUS to form us into that woman, made in the likeness and image of GOD, then yield to His work and watch the image unfold in your life. When He does the work, it is perfect. His yoke is easy and His burden is light. The price of the transformed woman is "far above rubies".

TODAY'S MIRACLE KEY 9, 10

2 Kings 4: 7
Then she came and told the man of GOD, And he said, "Go, sell the oil and pay thy debt, and live thou and thy children on the rest."

KEY 9: TESTIFY ABOUT THE MIRACLE AND GIVE GLORY TO GOD
When we have received a miracle from the LORD, our next act is to tell others about what GOD has done for you. This is a way to give thanks to GOD for all that He has done. In the case of the widow, she had nothing and now she has plenty, her miracle came from GOD; to him be the glory.

KEY 10: PAY YOUR DEBT WITH WHAT GOD PROVIDED.
The miracle was first prompted by the widow asking for help; GOD provided the means and the way to answer her petition. Yes, it was a unique way, but the manifestation was beyond imagination.  This widow gained an income; she gained her sons; she gained favor with the people, by supplying the needed oil; and she gained favor with GOD for her obedience.

Your miracle may have a unique path to manifestation, but don't question the method GOD is using; it will lead to the promised end.

IT IS OUR PRAYER THAT YOU WILL RECEIVE A MIRACLE IN YOUR LIFE; STAND FIRM IN THE LORD GOD AND HE WILL GIVE YOU YOUR HEAR'S DESIRE.

TODAY'S MIRACLE -KEY 7, 8

2 Kings 4: 5, 6
So she went from him, and shut the door upon her and upon her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured out. And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, "Bring me yet a vessel." And he said unto her, "There is not a vessel more." AND THE OIL STOPPED FLOWING.

KEY 5: DON'T LET OTHERS LIMIT YOUR MIRACLE
The widows sons had not gathered enough vessels, because they didn't expect the miracle to be so abundant. They did not trust GOD to provide abundantly.  The key here is to gather around you people of like faith, who will support you through your time of obedience to GOD. JESUS would dismiss people who did not agree with Him without any doubt. Others can limit your miracle, through their unbelief.

KEY 6: THE MIRACLE WILL STOP WHEN THE CAPACITY TO RECEIVE IS REACHED

Don't limit GOD by your personal vision of what He is able to do.  Expect abundance and you will receive abundance.

TODAY'S MIRACLES - KEY 5 and 6.

2 Kings 4: 4
And when thou art come in, thou shalt shut the door upon thee and upon thy sons, and shalt pour out into all those vessels, and thou shalt set aside that which is full.

KEY 5: SHUT THE DOOR
Shut the door to doubt and unbelief.  When we ask for a miracle, we need to shut out all vain imaginations and the questioning spirit.  BELIEVE GOD FOR THE MIRACLE, Shut the door to negative thinking.
Shut the door to your mouth; do not speak apart from the confession of the miracle.  Remember that out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks, so fix your heart on the receiving of the miracle and speak from a fixed heart.

Pastor Randy said, "Zip it", in other words, "shut your mouth"

KEY 6: ACT OUT THE DIRECTIONS OF THE LORD
The widow was to pour out the oil, this act was in obedience to the directions of the LORD. We must act out, in full, the commands of GOD; if we want to see the manifestation of the miracle.
Obedience has three parts: hear, receive, and act. We must listen for the command from GOD. We must say "yes" to following that command and then we must act on what He asks of us.
Mary, the mother of JESUS, said "yes" to the Angel Gabriel and then she carried out every order from GOD in the role of Mother of JESUS; she acted out her miracle.

TODAY'S MIRACLES - KEY 3, 4

2 Kings 4: 3.
Then he said, "Go, borrow thee vessels from all thy neighbors, even empty vessels; borrow not a few."

KEY 3: DON'T LIMIT GOD, WHAT HE SAYS DO EXACTLY.

The widow was told exactly what to do, Go, borrow empty vessels, borrow not a few. The woman was asked to participate in receiving her miracle. Her participation was obedience.  When the LORD tells you to do something, don't question, just do it. Doubt that the LORD will come through with the miracle, limits GOD and can cancel the miracle for you.

In this story, the woman was to gather participants to see the miracle. She was to go to the neighbors and borrow what they had in their house. The curious neighbors would then be a witness to the miracle of GOD and their faith would be strengthened. GOD never wastes an opportunity to bring more and more people to belief in Him.

KEY 4: EXPECT A MIRACLE
We can't outdo GOD. This woman only borrowed  some empty vessels; the LORD wanted to bless her with more than she could ever hope or imagine, but she didn't have enough vessels. Expect a miracle along the line of the "feeding of the 5,000" and be alert to how GOD provides.

TODAY'S MIRACLES - KEY 1,AND 2

2 Kings 4: 2
And Elisha said unto her, "What shall I do for thee? Tell me, what hast thou in the house?" And she said, "Thine handmaid hath not anything in the house, except a pot of oil."

TWO KEYS TO YOUR MIRACLE

The first key is in the first question that Elisha asks the widow; "What shall I do for thee?" Elisha knew what the woman needed, but she had to ask. Asking is a form of prayer. We have not our miracle, because we do not ask for it in faith believing and not wavering.  Philippians 4:6 says, "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto GOD."
KEY 1 IS TO ASK

The second question,"Tell me, what has thou in the house?" is the next key to the miracle. In other words, "What do you have in your hand?" We often miss the miracle, because we do not look around us for the provision of GOD. We ask for things we want and GOD provides the thing we need. Oftentimes, the thing we need is right at our fingertips, but we are looking somewhere else. GOD requires our participation in the unfolding of the miracle, so we have to look at what He sees; knowing that a little bit is the basis for great things.  A little lunch of bread and fish fed 5000 men with the women and children with an abundance left over. Never underestimate GOD.

KEY 2 IS TO LOOK AT WHAT GOD HAS ALREADY PROVIDED, IT IS IN YOUR HAND.

TODAY'S MIRACLES

2 Kings 4:1b, 1c
"Thy servant, my husband, is dead, and thou knowest that thy servant did fear the LORD; and the creditor is come to take unto him my two sons to be slaves."

The plight of a widow in the time of the prophets, was severe.  A woman without a husband had no status in the community and no inheritance, the creditors had the right to take away all that she possessed, including her sons.  The years of service for the slaves was 7 years, so she would have been without her sons for the full time of indenture.

Since this widows husband was part of the Prophet School of Elisha, this "certain woman" appealed to him, because he would have known her husband.  She had, also become a GOD fearing woman, through the teaching of Elisha and her husband.  It is thought, by Scholars, that this is the widow of Obadiah, the prophet.

In the next  postings, I will give keys to receiving a miracle, which are found in this account of the widow and Elisha.  The biggest foundation for a miracle is: BELIEVE GOD. BE CERTAIN THAT GOD WILL HEAR AND ANSWER THE PETITIONS WE MAKE IN HIS NAME. Let us be certain of that.

TODAY'S MIRACLES

II Kings 4:1a
Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha.

This "certain woman" was "certain" about her relationship with GOD. She had heard the Word of GOD and believed that GOD was truth. She also believed that GOD had sent anointed men to be His witnesses on earth.  This woman was a widow, who found herself in financial trouble, so she turned to the LORD through His servant Elisha.

This widow was "certain" about GOD and "certain" that GOD would do what He said He would do; she was "certain" that GOD had anointed Elisha to be His witness  and vessel of answered prayer; so she "cried unto Elisha".

Her cry was from the depth of her heart and the depth of her need.  The faith to cry out to GOD, which is prayer, was already there and she did not doubt that GOD would be faithful. She was empty of doubt, pride and self confidence; she was humble and ready to receive what the LORD had for her.

There are keys to unlocking miracles for us today and one of those keys is to:
BELIEVE GOD. Be a certain man or woman about who GOD is and that He is a re-warder of those who diligently seek Him; TODAY!!!!!

BELIEVE GOD FOR TODAY'S MIRACLES

THE ANOINTING

I Samuel 15:17
And Samuel said, "When thou wast little in thine own sight, wast thou not made the head of the tribes of Israel, and the LORD anointed thee King over Israel?"

Ponder this question; when you are little in your own eyes, are you not raised up by GOD?

Littleness is a virtue in the Christian faith, it is a sign of humility.  Humility and lowliness are the fertile ground through which GOD can be manifest in great power. We have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence and the power be of GOD and not of us. Matthew 18:4 says, "Whosoever, therefore, shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven."  I Peter 5:6 says this, "Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of GOD, that He may exalt you in due time." JESUS humbled Himself to become man and then humbled Himself under the "mighty hand of GOD" so that the plan of salvation of humankind would be accomplished. Now JESUS is King of Kings and LORD of LORDS; GOD raised Him up and gave Him the Name above all Names.

What good ever comes from a person exalting himself? The pleasure is fleeting and the moment in the sun is only for a short time; but when GOD raises up the lowly, the glory is eternal and the riches, beyond measure.
Stay little in you own sight and esteem others greater than yourself, submit to the mighty hand of GOD. He will raise you up.

THE FIRST SHALL BE LAST AND THE LAST FIRST, SAITH THE LORD.

HOLY SPIRIT SENT

John 14:26
But the comforter, Who is the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My Name, He will teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatever I have said.

We see in these verses the manifestation of the Holy Trinity: the Father will send the Holy Spirit in the Name of JESUS.  These are not the words of some prophet, these are the words of the Son of GOD, JESUS. I believe these words and that settles it in my mind.  The anointing oil is a symbol of the Holy Spirit, those anointed with the Holy Spirit will be taught from GOD.

It is important that the witnesses of the Gospel of JESUS be anointed with the Holy Spirit, Who will teach them in all things, and bring to remembrance the things that JESUS said.  The witnesses are just empty vessels  with the treasure of the Holy Spirit, so that the excellency and the power in all things will be of GOD and not of the vessel.  Miracles and signs follow the preaching of the Gospel by the mighty act of the Holy Spirit verifying the Word of the LORD.

COME, HOLY SPIRIT AND ANOINT YOUR WITNESSES.

ANOINTING OIL

Zechariah 4: 12b-14
'What are these two olive branches which, through the two golden pipes, empty the golden oil out of themselves?" And He answered me and said,"Knowest thou not what these are?" and I said, "No, my lord," Then said He, "These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the LORD of the whole earth.
Here we see a glimpse into the temple and the golden lamp-stand with two olive trees, one on the right and one on the left, pouring the pure oil into the lamp-stand for light. In this vision, the lamp-stand represents GOD'S witness before the world. JESUS Christ is the Light of the World and He bestows that light to those who are His witnesses, the anointed ones.  He bestows that via the Holy Spirit living and working within the life of the true believer in JESUS.

Verse 14 clearly indicates that the two olive branches are those who are filled with the Holy oil of anointing and are set aflame by the Holy Spirit of GOD.  These witnesses proclaim the Gospel to every nation, testifying about the work of redemption through JESUS Christ.

I want to be clear about the witnesses. They do not witness on their own, they must be under the anointing of GOD. Look at 1 John 5: 7, 8; "For there are three that bear record in heaven, The Father, the Word and the Holy Spirit; and these three are One. And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the Blood; and these three agree in One."  The Trinity in Heaven and the Trinity on earth meet in the Holy Spirit. Those who are filled with the Holy Spirit (the Holy oil) will pour out the Good News of JESUS Christ and bring light into the darkness of the minds and hearts of men. The witnesses are open pipes through which the LORD of Heaven and earth pours out His Holy Spirit.

We have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency and the power be of GOD and not of ourselves,
