BECAUSE HE LIVES

JESUS IS ALIVE; HE IS RISEN
I Corinthians 15:20
But now is Christ risen from the dead and become the first fruits of them that slept. For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

"Because He lives, I can face tomorrow. Because He lives, all fear is gone; because I know He holds the future, and life is worth the living, just because He lives."

JESUS is alive and He holds the future. Because He lives eternity with Him is assured. There are 5 assurances that stem from the resurrection of JESUS:
1. Christianity is validated - because He lives, those who believe in Him will live with Him.
2. Our Salvation is guaranteed. JESUS arose from the dead, defeating death and darkness, in Him, we have light and life.
3.We are assured that JESUS is the Son of GOD. JESUS is GOD and sits at the right hand of the Father in glory.
4. Because He lives, the power of GOD is proven as sovereignty over all. All entities are under the feet of the sovereign GOD, there is nothing  above Him.
5. Because He lives, we shall live also.

The resurrection of JESUS erased all doubt and questions. JESUS is alive and He lives to make intercession for all people.

HALLELUJAH!! CHRIST THE LORD IS RISEN TODAY.

IT IS FINISHED;DEATH IS VANQUISHED

John 19:30
When JESUS, therefore, had received the vinegar, He said, IT IS FINISHED; and He bowed His Head, and dismissed His Spirit.

IT IS FINISHED

The cry of JESUS resounds in our heart, as we hear the shout of victory in the midst of great agony. What does this shout mean?
1. the plan of Salvation through the Blood of JESUS was completed. Death is vanquished and the new and living way is open. The shout was the shout of the servant JESUS who had completed His work on earth, the Salvation of the world. (John 3:16).

2. This was the cry of the Priest, JESUS, who was the Lamb of GOD without spot or blemish, willingly submitting His flesh to be the perfect sacrifice for us.

3. this was the shout of the merchant who paid our debt in full. "We had a debt that we couldn't pay; He paid the dept He didn't owe."

Through the Blood of JESUS we are redeemed and set free to walk in the Light of Life. JESUS is the perfect offering for our sin and His Blood cleanses us from all guilt and shame.

COME UNTO HIM, ALL YE WHO LABOR AND ARE HEAVY BURDENED AND JESUS WILL GIVE YOU REST; TAKE HIS YOKE UPON YOU AND LEARN OF HIM FOR HE IS MEEK AND LOWLY OF HEART AND YOU WILL FIND REST UNTO YOUR SOUL.

IT IS FINISHED; DEATH IS BEATEN AND HEAVEN IS OPEN TO ALL WHO BELIEVE IN ME.  JESUS IS LORD.

JESUS BORE OUR BURDENS

I Peter 2:23, 24
Who, when He was reviled, reviled not again; when He suffered, He threatened not, but committed Himself to Him that judgeth righteously; Who His own self bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness; by whose stripes ye were healed.

JESUS, THE BURDEN BEARER

Yesterday we looked at JESUS riding into Jerusalem on the back of a donkey, the symbol of peace. We saw that JESUS is our peace; Who came in peace and tore down the dividing wall between GOD and man. Today we look at JESUS riding into Jerusalem on the back of the donkey, a burden bearer.

JESUS bore our sins on the cross, so that sin and death would have to yield to righteousness and life. In JESUS we are declared righteous and are given eternal life. His Blood reconciles us to GOD and the middle wall has been destroyed, once and for all time, by the willing sacrifice of JESUS.

When JESUS was reviled, He did not revile in return; when He suffered, He didn't threaten, but committed Himself to GOD. We, who love the LORD JESUS have this pattern to follow, and the burden bearer, JESUS, redeems us by His Blood.

BY HIS BLOOD, HE RECONCILED US; BY HIS WOUNDS WE WERE HEALED.

JESUS CAME IN PEACE

Ephesians 2: 13, 14
But now in Christ JESUS ye who once were far off are made near by the Blood of Christ. For He IS OUR PEACE, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us.

JESUS, WHO IS PEACE CAME IN PEACE.

The lowly donkey carried the King of Kings and LORD of LORDS into Jerusalem. The Donkey is the symbol of humility and peace; not power and war. JESUS came to earth with one purpose, the redemption of all creation, not by war, but by peace.

Peace has another meaning, it means unity. JESUS came to break down the dividing wall between man and GOD; to make peace. That middle wall was marked by sin and JESUS broke it down by taking the sin of the world and crucifying it upon the cross.  When the veil of the Temple was rent in two from top to bottom, the middle wall was torn down and man was to have access to the Throne of Grace for ever and ever.

THE BLOOD OF JESUS RECONCILES US TO GOD; HE IS OUR PEACE.

TRIUMPHAL ENTRY

Psalm 148: 1-5
Praise ye the LORD. Praise ye the LORD from the heavens; praise Him in the heights. Praise ye Him, all angels of His; praise ye Him, all His hosts. Praise ye Him, sun and moon; praise Him, all ye stars of light. Praise Him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that are above the heavens. Let them praise the Name of the LORD; for He commanded, and they were created.

Psalm 150: 6
Let everything that hath breath praise the LORD, Praise ye the LORD.

All things in the heavens and on earth were "commanded" and "were created". All created things know their creator and praise Him for their being. When we praise the LORD, we are joining our voice with all creation, in one, endless shout of praise to the One who spoke all things into existance.

Think about your breath! Praise GOD that you have breath, because He has ordained you to breathe today. Your breath is a gift from GOD, use it to give Him the worship and praise due His Name.

CHRIST OUR PASSOVER IS SACRIFICED FOR US; THEREFORE, LET US KEEP THE FEAST.

TRIUMPHAL ENTRY

Psalm 47: 1,2, 3
Oh, clap your hands, all ye peoples; shout unto GOD with the voice of triumph. For the LORD Most High is awesome; He is a great King over all the earth. He shall subdue the peoples under us, and the nations under our feet.

Applause is a type of praise; it is normal, in creation, that the thunder of clapping can be heard. Listen to the trees, or the roaring thunder; listen to the clap of the waves against the sea shore or the roar of the wind in the pine trees. All creation claps its hands in praise of the Creator.

It is true, that when we are filled with praise of the Living GOD, no force or evil can invade us; our heart is fixed on the LORD. The LORD GOD is awesome, He subdues people and nations by the Word of His mouth; He has given to us the authority to be His vessels of overcoming power through His Son JESUS.

CLAP YOUR HANDS AND RAISE THE SHOUT OF PRAISE TO THE LORD; HE IS TRIUMPHANT.

TRIUMPHAL ENTRY

Matthew 21: 8, 9
And a very great multitude spread their garments in the way; others cut down branches from the trees, and spread them in the way. And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, "Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is He that cometh in the Name of the LORD! Hosanna in the highest."

It was the time of Passover and the multitudes of people were in Jerusalem for the Passover feast. This was a time to remember the deliverance of the Children of Israel from the bondage under Pharaoh, when the LORD GOD saved the people who put the Blood of the lamb on the door posts and the lintel of their house.   Now, JESUS was entering into Jerusalem and they viewed Him as their conquering King.

How right they were! But not in the way they thought. JESUS was fulfilling His Mission on earth, to set ALL the captives free and to break, once and for all time, the bondage of sin. Yes, JESUS would shed His blood for the remission of sin and by His Blood He would reconcile the world to GOD, for all who believed in Him.

"Hosanna" means praise, but it also means "save us". The people were shouting for JESUS to save them; with His Blood, He did.
JESUS rode into Jerusalem in humility and in peace, on the back of a lowly donkey; when He comes again, He will come riding a white stallion, with the whole company of heaven with Him.

RIDE ON KING JESUS!!!!!

HOSANNA IN THE HIGHEST - 6 OPEN DOORS

Psalm 9: 1-3
I will praise Thee, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will show forth all Thy marvelous works. I will be glad and rejoice in Thee; I will sing praise to Thy Name, O Thou Most High. When mine enemies are turned back, they shall fall and perish at Thy Presence.

THE DOOR OF ALL THE MARVELOUS WORKS OF GOD, OPENS WITH PRAISE.

Fling wide the gates of praise and the doors will open to great and marvelous manifestations of the power of GOD. Fling wide the gates of praise and healing and miracles will be manifest. Fling wide the gates of praise and the avenger will be silenced. Praise is powerful; no force can silence the praise of the heart in love with JESUS; no force can put out the fire of praise, it consumes all the darkness of the foe, by drenching it with light.

THE LORD HAS ORDAINED PRAISE; IF WE FORGET TO PRAISE, THE STONES WILL CRY OUT IN AN ERUPTION OF PRAISE TO GOD.

HOSANNA IN THE HIGHEST - 6 OPEN DOORS

II Chronicles 5: 13, 14
It came to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the LORD, saying,"for His mercy endureth forever" - that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the LORD. So that the Priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud; for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of GOD.

PRAISE OPENS THE DOOR OF THE SHEKINAH GLORY TO COME IN

Notice that the singers and the trumpeters were as one, making one sound, not many different sounds, ONE SOUND in praising and thanking the LORD. Unity in the worship of GOD is essential for the ushering in of the power of GOD. Read the account of the fall of Jeicho in Joshua 6: 1-16.  The rams horn blew on the seventh day and Joshua commanded the people to shout the victory shout. ALL WERE IN ONE ACCORD.

We must strive to be in one accord in the One LORD, praising and thanking Him,  so that the power of GOD will flow without restriction. There is One LORD, one faith and one baptism, one GOD and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. (Ephesians 4: 5, 6). When we are in one accord in the LORD, the power of GOD will open doors, the glory will come as a cloud and those who see it will be converted.

DOOR 3 - OTHERS WILL SEE THE GLORY AND BE SAVED.

HOSANNA IN THE HIGHEST-6 OPEN DOORS

Psalm 22:3
But Thou art Holy, O Thou who inhabitest the praises of Israel.

PRAISE OPENS THE DOOR OF THE PRESENCE OF GOD

The LORD GOD is Holy and He inhabits our praises. Inhabit means to live in or to dwell within;. therefore, when we praise the LORD He is in the house. "Know you not that you are the temple of the living GOD who is within you." Look at II Corinthians 6:16b "For ye are the temple of the living GOD; as GOD hath said, 'I will dwell in them and walk in them; and I will be their GOD, and they shall be My people."

Yes, we are the temple of the LORD GOD, who dwells in us, Praise Him and watch the manifestation of His Presence in us and around us, transforming the environment into Holy Ground.
LET US ARISE AND BE THE HANDS AND FEET OF JESUS, WHO DWELLS IN US!

HOSANNA IN THE HIGHEST-6 OPEN DOORS

Psalm 67: 5-7
Let the people praise Thee, O GOD; let all the people praise Thee. Then shall the earth yield her increase; and GOD, even our own GOD, shall bless us. GOD shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear Him.

THE FIRST DOOR TO OPEN IS BLESSING

Today, let us bless the LORD for all that He has done for us. We breathe because He has given us breath; we are alive, because He ordained life for us today; we have His Word to live by and we have His blessing to walk in. He has provided our Salvation and our prosperity now and for Eternity. Let us Praise the LORD.

Let us join the whole universe and the angels and archangels; lifting our voice in endless praise of the LORD GOD Almighty, Who was and is and is to come. Let us kneel before our Maker in humble thanksgiving for His great LOVE.

GLORY TO GOD IN THE HIGHEST.

HOSANNA IN THE HIGHEST

Psalm 150: 6
Let everything that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.

Breath is a gift from GOD, we have breath to praise the LORD, because He has willed that we have our breath. If He takes our breath, and returns it to Him, we die. While we have the gift of breath, we should be so grateful, that we express our gratitude with endless praise.

There are many things that open to us, when we praise the LORD, but that is of least importance; praise and thanksgiving to GOD for Him and His love is of highest importance. We have a choice in the use of our gift of breath; do we use it for ourselves or do we use it for GOD?

As for me and my house, we will praise the LORD for who He is and for what He has done for all that have breath.
PRAISE YE THE LORD

HOSANNA IN THE HIGHEST

Matthew 21:9
and the multitude that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, "Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is He that cometh in the Name of the LORD! Hosanna in the highest!"

Hosanna, in the Vulgate translation, means "Save us, we beseech thee" (Ps. 118: 25; Mark 11: 9 and John 12:13). It has also come to mean a shout of praise. When you put the two together, you find what was in the mind of the people who welcomed JESUS into the Holy City of Jerusalem. They looked upon JESUS as Savior from the tyranny of oppression; they looked at JESUS as the King in the line of David the King - this is why they called Him the "Son of David". It was a shout of triumph and praise for the one whom they looked upon as their Savior.

The depth of their praise was on the surface, looking at the figure before them as their deliverer, a mighty force to bring down Roman rule.  They wanted to make JESUS King over the government and rule as mighty King, like David, their hero.

The depth of the praise of JESUS was in His connection to His Father; a connection of obedience, worship and humility. His life was praise to the Father. There are levels of praise: surface; soul, with its feelings; and spirit, exemplified by obedience, and worship.

In the surface praise, people can be disappointed and walk away; in the soul, praise can be a struggle between feelings and will; in the Spirit, all of life is praise of GOD, no matter what the circumstances. We have a lot to learn from this, "the deeper we go into GOD the higher the praise". THINK ABOUT IT!!!!!

THE DEEPER THE RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD THE HIGHER THE PRAISE.

10 SCRIPTURES THE DEVIL HATES

Isaiah 14: 12
How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground. You who weakened the nations!
Ephesians 6:11
Put on the whole armor of GOD, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

THE TEN SCRIPTURES:
Luke 10: 19; Romans 8:1; Philippians 2: 9-11; I John 3:8;
James 4:7; Hebrews 4:12; John 8:32; John 16:13
and the Scriptures for today.

The devil has fallen! The Blood of JESUS overthrew him; the Father cast him out of heaven, he is dead.
Oh yes, satan has a future, it is eternal darkness, no light, no breath, no life, and no way out. He tries to convince people that he is able to kill, steal and destroy, but the truth is that he has killed and destroyed himself by his own evil.

When we put on the full armor of GOD, satan cannot penetrate the defenses of GOD, we are protected under the shelter of the Almighty. Every tactic of the warfare of satan is useless against it. The Blood of JESUS on the door posts and the lintel of our heart, guards our heart from all encroachments of the devil.
The devil was defeated at Calvary, by the Son of GOD, who loved the World so much that He gave himself a sacrifice unto His Father for the life of the World.

STAND FIRM IN THE HOLY WORD OF GOD; STAND IN THE TRUTH, THE LIGHT AND LIFE OF JESUS CHRIST.

10 SCRIPTURES THE DEVIL HATES

John 8: 32
And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
John 16:13
However, when He, the Spirit of Truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.

JESUS was asked, "what is truth?" and you might be asking the same thing. TRUTH IS A PERSON; JESUS CHRIST THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE.
The devil hates these verses, because God's Word brings true freedom in contrast to the " freedom" which is of sin that leads to spiritual slavery.  Truth and freedom are only found in JESUS Christ and that is not for a limited time, it is for Eternity. Know JESUS, Who is truth and you will be free indeed, no matter what your circumstances in life.

The Spirit of Truth is the Holy Spirit sent by GOD to bring all things into remembrance, whatsoever JESUS has said. With the Holy Spirit in you, there is the witness as to what is truth and what is a lie. Satan hates this Scripture, because it uncovers his lies. GOD has the total authority to expose satan and show him for who he is: a cheat, liar, killer, thief, and destroyer. No good can come from the devil.
ALL GOOD COMES FROM GOD; GOD IS GOOD

10 SCRIPTURES THE DEVIL HATES

James 4:7
Therefore, submit to GOD. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
Hebrews 4: 12
For the WORD of GOD is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and joint and marrow, and is the discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

The devil hates it when we submit to GOD. When we yield our members to obedience to GOD, the devil cannot touch us,we have all the power of GOD to resist the devil and drive him far from us. Many Christians appear powerless because they do no submit to GOD. Submission takes courage, to admit that you are powerless without GOD is a great leap of faith. When we submit to GOD, we can say in great confidence, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

JESUS resisted the devil with the Word of the LORD; know the Scripture and use it to resist the devil, he cannot stand against the power of the Word. The Word of GOD is a weapon that always hits its mark; it is living, sharp and a discerner. In Christ JESUS there is conviction of sin, but there is no condemnation; there is discernment of thought, word and deed, but there is no condemnation, just the opportunity to change.

USE THE WORD OF GOD TO RESIST THE DEVIL AND HE WILL FLEE FROM YOU.

P.S. This is just a little funny though from me: the devil is a flea, so send him fleeing - swat with the Sword.

10 SCRIPTURES THE DEVIL HATES

Philippians 2:9-11
Wherefore, GOD also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a Name which is above every name, that at the Name of JESUS every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that JESUS Christ is LORD to the glory of GOD, the Father.
I John 3: 8
He that committeth sin is of the devil, for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of GOD was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.

Yesterday, we looked at the authority that is given to us by GOD to "tread on serpents and scorpions and over the power of the enemy". We saw that there is no condemnation to those who are in Christ JESUS, who walk in the Spirit not in the flesh.

Today we are going to confess the Scriptures about the authority that is given to us to proclaim the Name of JESUS and defeat the devil by declaring the Work of GOD. The devil hates the fact that JESUS willingly gave His life for humankind out of pure LOVE. The devil hates the fact that the Father highly exalted JESUS above all, giving Him the Name that puts the all things, including the devil and his angels, on their knees. The devil hates, that at the Name of JESUS, all the works of the devil are destroyed.

WE PROCLAIM THE ETERNAL VICTORY OF JESUS CHRIST, NOW AND FOREVER.

10 WORDS OF AUTHORITY

Luke 10:19
Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.  THE WORD OF JESUS.
Romans 8:1
There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ JESUS who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. THE WORD OF THE LORD.

In the next few days, I will be giving you Scripture that Satan hates. Speak these Scriptures aloud and with the authority that is given to you by JESUS. All Scripture is given by the inspiration of GOD and is profitable for reproof, correction and for the building up of the Body of Christ (II Timothy 3:16, 17). Satan hates Scripture, and hates it being spoken with the authority of GOD. SPEAK IT ALOUD and watch the enemy flee.

There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear for fear has torment. Do not fear to take authority in the name of JESUS. He has given it to you, so use it. There are many Christians that the enemy of our soul has intimidated with threats of hurt or harm, but JESUS said, nothing shall by any means hurt you; believe Him.

Satan hates the Word of Paul in Romans, because it liberates GOD's people from false self-condemnation.
When we walk in the Spirit of GOD there is only love and the understanding of self-worth; JESUS makes us worthy.
STAND IN THE AUTHORITY OF JESUS

THE SWORD; THE WORD OF GOD

Ephesians 6:17
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of GOD.

The Word of GOD is a weapon against the forces of evil. The Word, spoken, pierces the enemy and defeats him with every word.  The devil can not stand against the Word of the LORD, he is driven back and driven out of our life.

The Word of GOD is sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, joint and marrow and is the discerner of the thoughts and the intense of the heart. The sword of the Spirit even examines the motives of the one speaking.  It finds the littlest place that the enemy hides and uncovers him.

The Sword of the Spirit is an offensive weapon and carries with it the power of GOD.
SPEAK THE WORD AND THE ENEMY WILL TAKE FLIGHT

POWER OF THE WORD

Matthew 4: 8-11
Again, the devil taketh Him up into an exceedingly high mountain, and showeth Him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them, and saith unto Him, "All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. Then saith JESUS unto him, Begone, Satan; for it is written, "Thou shalt worship the LORD, thy GOD, and Him only shalt thou serve". Then the devil leaveth Him, and behold, angels came and ministered unto Him.

THE KINGDOMS OF THIS WORLD VS. THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN

The devil tempted JESUS, the Son of GOD, to abandon His Kingdom of GOD, in order to have power in the kingdom of the earth. The answer of JESUS was "NO". The devil tempted JESUS to bow down to him as ruler of the world and worship him as god, JESUS said "NO".JESUS was tempted by the devil to look at the glory of the earthly kingdom and to be impressed by it; JESUS knew that the glory of the earth kingdom was filthy dirty, compared to the GLORY OF THE HEAVENLY KINGDOM. JESUS said, "NO".

The devil will try to tempt us with earthly power, if we will give up our obedience to JESUS; we must say "NO". The power of this world is feeble, weak and powerless compared to the vitality and strength, power and might of the Kingdom of GOD. Earthly power is foolish and feeble.

We must say, with JESUS, "Begone, Satan; for it is written, "Thou shalt worship the LORD thy GOD, and Him only shalt thou serve." Remember the commandment that says "Thou shalt not bow down to them (idols), nor serve them; for I , the LORD thy GOD, am a jealous GOD, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me and showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep My Commandments" (Exodus 20: 5,6).

Since JESUS refused to bow down to Satan, mercy was granted to Him and to the generations who follow Him and love Him.  REMEMBER, THERE IS VICTORY IN JESUS.

POWER OF THE WORD

Matthew 4: 5-7
Then the devil taketh Him up into the holy city, and setteth Him on a pinnacle of the temple, and saith unto Him, " If thou be the Son of GOD, cast thyself down; for it is written, 'He shall give His angels charge concerning thee, and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone'. JESUS said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not put the LORD, thy GOD, to the test.

THE POWER OF THE WORD OF GOD

The devil didn't quit his assault on JESUS, he tried to get JESUS to show off His power. The "if" indicates that the devil also tempted JESUS to doubt His relationship with His Father.  The devil quotes Scripture - sort of; he miss quotes it in a number of ways; look up Psalm 91:11, 12 to see the real quote. The devil tried the quoting of the Word of the LORD on Eve in the Garden of Eden and it was through his misquotes that he persuaded her. JESUS stood His ground again, by speaking the Word of the LORD, exactly, in response to the devil's maneuvers.

When we are tempted to show off how great we are, we can do what JESUS did, resist the devil by giving voice to the Word of GOD. Yes, when we speak the Word aloud, we are giving voice to the Word of GOD, that voice rings throughout the Universe and is a sound that causes all heaven and earth to listen.

SPEAK THE WORD OF THE LORD ALOUD, AND RESIST THE DEVIL WITH THE POWER OF THE WORD OF GOD

POWER OF THE WORD

Matthew 4:4
But He answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of GOD.

THE POWER OF THE WORD

When JESUS was confronted by the devil, He did not waver or doubt, He stood His ground on the Word of the LORD. Satan was attempting to upset the mission and ministry of JESUS by undermining the relationship between JESUS and His Father, through disobedience. JESUS did not listen to the pangs of the human flesh that were hungry, due to 40 days of fasting, instead, He listened only to the Word of His Father through the living Word of GOD.

The "Word that proceedeth out of the mouth of GOD" is on the breath of GOD. When GOD breathes, there is creation and newness of life; the Word of GOD is breath and life. Look at what happens to the dry bones in Ezekiel 37; the breath was blown into the dry bones and they lived.  This is what happens when the Word of GOD is spoken, it lives to create and to give power.

We, too, have the power of the Word of GOD. When we speak the Word, there is action from GOD and there is redemption and renewal. There is
POWER IN THE WORD OF GOD, speak it and believe it.

Today's confession:
I am encouraged, never discouraged (1 Samuel 30:6)

POWER OF THE WORD

Matthew 4: 3
And when the tempter came to Him, he said, "if thou be the Son of GOD, command that these stones be made bread."

IF??????

Satan knew that JESUS was the Son of GOD, he knew JESUS before JESUS came in the flesh. JESUS said that He watched Satan and his angels expelled from heaven, so why did Satan say "if thou be the Son of GOD"?
The enemy will try to through doubt into your mind about who you are and to Whom you belong. JESUS was physically hungry, therefore, He was weak in the flesh; Satan tried to inflict doubt in JESUS. This tactic had worked in the Garden of Eden when the serpent inflicted doubt in Eve; but Eve was not the only begotten Son of GOD.

JESUS knew who He was, His mission on earth, and His status as GOD. JESUS was very man and very GOD - Human and Divine. JESUS suffered as a human being and suffered as the Divine One; but He never doubted either.

When the enemy comes to us and tries to inflict doubt in our mind about who we are and to Whom we belong, we have a word for him; "I Am a child of GOD, joint heir with Christ and redeemed by the Blood of the Lamb" "I have been bought with the price of the Blood of JESUS and am saved."

Today's confession:
I am favored not cursed (Proverbs 8:35)

POWER OF THE WORD

Matthew 4: 1,2
Then was JESUS led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, He was afterward hungry.

THE LAST ADAM IS TEMPTED LIKE THE FIRST ADAM

Notice that the Holy Spirit led JESUS into the wilderness right after He was Baptized and filled with the Holy Spirit.  This is a normal occurrence for those who are Born-again and Baptized; it is normal, because the devil hates the followers of JESUS. The devil will try to snatch the new-born from their new life in JESUS and he will hit them when they are filled with joy and expectation. The devil will also hit the new-born Christian at their weakest point; for JESUS it was hunger.

JESUS is the Son of GOD, the last Adam. The first Adam was tricked into disobedience by the hiss of the serpent working his trickery on Eve. Eve was Adam's weakest link and the serpent knew it. With JESUS, fasting for forty days had left Him very hungry for human food. The devil tried the same trickery with JESUS as he did with the first Adam.

Stay tuned for the unfolding of the victory over the devil and see how JESUS defeated him with the Word. Can you hear the hissssssss of the serpent?

Today's confession:
Greater is He that is in me, than he that is in the world. (1 John 4:4b)

POWER OF THE WORD

Daniel 10: 12
Then said he unto me, "Fear not, Daniel; for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy GOD, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words".

SPEAK THE WORD OF THE LORD.

It is a truth that all the angels have been created by GOD and will respond to His Word.  When we speak the Word of the LORD, angels do what the Word says for them to do. Notice when the angel heard the Word; it was when Daniel set his heart to understand and to chasten himself before GOD.  A right relationship with GOD, opens the door to the response of the angelic host.

JESUS spoke the Word of GOD and demons fled; JESUS always spoke the Word of GOD and His Word was true. We will look at the temptations of JESUS in the wilderness this week and see how JESUS used the power of the Word to drive out the hiss of the devil.

POWER OF FAITH

I Peter 5: 6-9
Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of GOD, that He may exalt you in due time. Casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you. Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary, the devil, like a roaring lion walketh about, seeking whom he may devour; whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

RESIST THE DEVIL AND HE WILL FLEA FROM YOU

The key to winning the battle over the assault of the devil is found in verse 6: Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of GOD, that He may exalt you in due time. Resisting the onslaught of the devil is not accomplished by the weapons of the flesh, but our weapons are mighty and victorious through JESUS. The greatest weapon that we have is the weapon of humble access to the Throne of Grace. The "roaring lion" can not find us, when we are under the shelter of the Almighty, covered with the Blood of JESUS.

To be sober and vigilant, we must be focused on the One who is Almighty; JESUS Christ. If we allow our sight to be drawn to other things, we loose power and the covering. Our focus must remain on the Word of the LORD; speaking the Word of the LORD to every circumstance and then standing on that Word without doubting.

"Faith is the victory that overcomes the world."

I am encouraged, never to be discouraged ( I Samuel 30:6)
