RESURRECTION OF JESUS-PART 1

Saturday, April 30, 2011
PROOF POSITIVE; JESUS IS ALIVE
John 21:1-14
After these things JESUS showed himself again to the disciples at the Sea of Tiberias; and in this manner showed He Himself.

There were together Simon Peter; and Thomas, called Didymus; and Nathanael, of Cana in Galilee; and the sons of Zebedee; and two others of his Disciples
. Simon Peter saith unto them, "I go fishing." They say unto him, "We also go with thee." They went forth, and entered into a boat immediately; and that night they caught nothing. But when the morning was now come, JESUS stood on the shore; but the Disciples knew not that it was JESUS. Then JESUS saith unto them, Children, have ye any food? They answered Him, "No". And He said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and ye shall find. They cast, therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fish.
Therefore, that Disciple whom JESUS loved saith unto Peter, "It is the LORD."

Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the LORD, he girt his fisher's coat into him (for he was naked), and did cast himself into the sea.
The other Disciples came in a little boat ( for they were not far from land, but as it were two hundred cubits), dragging the net with fish. As soon then, as they were come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid on it, and bread.

JESUS saith unto them, Come and dine. And none of the disciples dared ask Him, " Who art thou?" knowing that it was the LORD. JESUS then cometh, and taketh bread, and giveth them, and fish likewise.

THIS IS NOW THE THIRD TIME THAT JESUS SHOWED HIMSELF TO HIS DISCIPLES, AFTER HE WAS RISEN FROM THE DEAD.

RESURRECTION OF JESUS-PART 1

Friday, April 29, 2011
John 20:17
JESUS said, Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet returned to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, 'I am returning to my Father and your Father, to my GOD and your GOD.' "

DO NOT HOLD ON TO ME

These words have often puzzled me, but as I pondered them, I found that there is a lot of meaning in those words. First, JESUS wants Mary Magdalene to "Go" and "tell". He does not want her to "hold on to Him" and stay. This is the same message that JESUS gave to Peter, James and John on the Mount of the Transfiguration when they wanted to build booths for JESUS, Moses and Elijah and stay on the Mountain top. There, JESUS told them to "go down from the mountain". This message is for us, the redeemed of GOD, do not hold on to Him, let Him hold you as you go and tell the Good News - JESUS IS ALIVE.

There is another meaning of these words, "Do not hold on to me". In the Priestly ritual, the High Priest washes and puts on clean garments before he enters the Holy of Holies. No unclean person can enter there, because it would defile the Holy Place. JESUS, in His glorified state, was clean and ready to enter into the Holy of Holies in Heaven, bringing His Blood to the Mercy Seat in Atonement for us all. He could not be touched until He completed the task of pouring out His Holy Blood upon the Mercy Seat. As our High Priest, He fulfilled all that was required by the Father GOD for the forgiveness of all of our sins.

Later, JESUS appears to the Disciples in the Upper Room. Again He appeared when Thomas was present and He allowed Thomas to put his hands in the nail holes in His hands and put his hands in JESUS' side. Could it be that between the event of Mary seeing JESUS and the appearance of JESUS with the Disciples, that He carried His Blood into the Holy of Holies in Heaven?

BY HIS BLOOD HE RECONCILED US; BY HIS WOUNDS WE ARE HEALED.

RESURRECTION OF JESUS-PART 1

Thursday, April 28, 2011
I Corinthians 15: 5-8
And He appeared to Peter, and then to the twelve. After that, He appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep. Then He appeared to James, then to all the apostles, and last of all He appeared to me also, as one abnormally born.

JESUS IS ALIVE - PROOF POSITIVE

The Apostle Paul wanted it to be perfectly clear to all people that JESUS was raised from the dead. He wanted to dispel all the rumors that JESUS had been carried off by the Disciples and His body hidden. Paul had been a persecutor of Christians, before His conversion on the road to Damascus, so he knew the rumors. He also knew the importance of the vast number of witnesses, who saw the resurrected JESUS, himself being one of them. Now He must tell what He knew to be true. JESUS IS ALIVE.

We are very thankful to Paul for His teachings on life in Christ JESUS. Paul's letters to all the Churches he founded, give us a clear picture of the Christian Life, as well as, proof positive of the glorious resurrection of JESUS.

Read all of the Letters of Paul in the Scripture and learn how to live the abundant life.

RESURRECTION OF JESUS-PART 1

Wednesday, April 27, 2011
John 20: 6-8 (NIV)
Then Simon Peter, who was behind him, arrived and went into the tomb. He saw the strips of linen lying there, as well as the burial cloth that had been around JESUS' head. The cloth was folded up by itself, separate from the linen. Finally, the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went inside. He saw and believed.

THE CLOTH WAS FOLDED UP BY ITSELF

In the traditions of royalty, the Master of the house would signal to the servants whether he was finished at the table or whether he was coming back, by how the napkin was folded. If the napkin was not folded, the Master was not going to return, he was finished; if the napkin was folded, the Master was going to RETURN. JESUS was saying that HE WAS GOING TO RETURN AGAIN, He was giving a signal to His servants.

We, His servants, need to be looking for the Master to return, He has shown us that He will. Where is the proof? JESUS said that He would return; Scripture says that He will return; the empty tomb says that He has risen from the dead and the folded napkin says that HE WILL RETURN AGAIN.

Peter and John believed that the LORD JESUS had risen from the dead, by the proof of the empty tomb. The One they served had risen just like He said that He would; the One we serve is risen from the dead and so shall we, like Him, rise from the dead; the One we serve is coming again, and so shall we come with Him and share in His life as sons and daughters.

HE IS RISEN INDEED

RESURRECTION OF JESUS-PART 1

Tuesday, April 26, 2011
The Acts 1: 3, 4
To whom also He showed Himself alive after His passion by many infallible proofs, being seen by them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of GOD; and being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith He, ye have heard from me.

THE INFALLIBLE PROOFS

JESUS is seen alive by many witnesses of His crucifixion, for forty days. He spoke of things about the Kingdom of GOD, He ate with many who were assembled, waiting for Him. He appeared to many who were just going about their business. He taught; demonstrated His identity, by showing His wounds; He commanded and instructed his disciples and He listened and responded to the innumerable questions asked by his friends.

JESUS loved His people so much, that He made sure that each one knew that He had finished the work of redemption, just like His Father had commanded Him. He also wanted them to be aware that the promised Holy Spirit would come upon them in due time, and that they would be witnesses throughout the world.

The fact that JESUS rose from the dead means that we, too, will rise with Him to Eternal life. There is no death, because of JESUS; He conquered death and the grave; therefore, those who believe in JESUS will never die, but will be with Him forevermore.

JESUS IS THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE; NO MAN COMETH UNTO THE FATHER EXCEPT THROUGH HIM.

RESURRECTION OF JESUS-PART 1

Monday, April 25, 2011
I Corinthians 15: 20,21
But now is Christ risen from the dead and become the first fruits of them that slept. For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection from the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

JESUS CHRIST IS RISEN TODAY

JESUS is the first fruit of them that slept. Jesus is the one who set the captives free and opened the tomb which held all those who believed and had died. He rolled away the stone from the door and all who had died before the resurrection, arose in triumph. Now, death is vanquished and man is free, because of JESUS. Death has no sting and the grave no victory, because of JESUS.

In Adam, all died, even those who longed for life in the presence of GOD, they faithful waited for JESUS and the resurrection. When He rose, triumphant over death, death died and those who come to JESUS never die, but have life everlasting.

O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? ... Thanks be to GOD, who giveth us the victory through our LORD JESUS CHRIST. ( I Corinthians 15: 55, 57).

HALLELUJAH! THE LORD IS RISEN INDEED

IT IS FINISHED

HOLY SATURDAY
April 23, 2011
Matthew 27:50 - 54 (NIV)
And when JESUS had cried out again in a loud voice, He gave up His Spirit. At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook and the rocks split. The tombs broke open and the bodies of many Holy People who had died were raised to life. They came out of the tombs, and after JESUS resurrection they went into the Holy City and appeared to many people. When the centurion and those with him who were guarding JESUS saw the earthquake and all that had happened, they were terrified, and exclaimed, "SURELY HE WAS THE SON OF GOD!"

JESUS GAVE UP HIS SPIRIT

Jesus had the power given Him from the Father to lay down His life or take it up again, (John 10: 18). His Spirit was given to Him, His very breath was a gift; on the Cross He gave back to GOD His Spirit/breath. JESUS was in charge of all that happened. JESUS exclaimed in total victory, IT IS FINISHED, and He bowed His Head and gave up His Spirit.(John 19:30).

What was finished? In John 17:4, JESUS is praying to the Father and says, "I have glorified thee on the earth; I have finished the work which Thou gavest me to do." On the cross, the work of the redemption was FINISHED. Death is swallowed up in victory.

The result of this victory is that the Veil of the Temple, which guarded the Holy of Holies from being entered by the masses, was ripped in two from the top to the bottom. Now, all could come to the Mercy Seat and receive grace and mercy from the LORD. Now, through the Blood of JESUS, all who come through Him, will be saved. His Blood reconciled us to GOD, HE IS THE ATONEMENT.

It is Finished, the atonement sacrifice has been made, the veil of the temple is torn and all who come by the Way of JESUS will receive total forgiveness of all their sin and be united to GOD FOREVER. JESUS said:

I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE; NO MAN COMETH UNTO THE FATHER EXCEPT BY ME.
IT IS FINISHED, COME UNTO ME ALL YE THAT ARE WEARY AND HEAVY LADEN AND I WILL GIVE YOU REST. COME!

POWER OF COMMUNION

GOOD FRIDAY
April 22, 2011
I Corinthians 10: 15-17(NIV)
I speak to sensible people; judge for yourselves what I say. Is not the cup of thanksgiving for which we give thanks a participation in the Blood of Christ? And is not the bread that we break a participation in the Body of Christ? Because there is one loaf, we, who are many, are one Body, for we all partake of the one loaf.

This set of verses are written to "sensible people", people who are able to understand what is said, because it makes sense. The cup of thanksgiving holds the Blood of Christ who is the atonement - at one -ment with GOD. When we drink from this cup, we are entering into the life of Christ, which is in His Blood. When we eat the Bread, we are acknowledging the Body of Christ, which was broken for us. He was broken in pieces; we break in pieces the one loaf. He was united to GOD; we are united to GOD and to one another, as we eat the piece of the one loaf.

Communion has 4 parts: Thanksgiving for all things; the Body of Christ for healing and unity; the Blood of Christ which overcomes all that oppose the LORD and protects from all that would kill, steal or destroy; and we remember that He is coming again for His Bride, the Church of all believers in JESUS.

The sword pierced the side of JESUS, and out of his side flowed a river of Blood and water. First the Blood, which sanctifies us, then the water which baptizes us into Christ. Let us remember that out of the side of Adam, Eve was formed; out the side of JESUS, the Church, the Bride of Christ was created. JESUS is coming again for His Bride and there will be a great marriage, the uniting of the Bride and JESUS.

Let us never forget that we are one in the Spirit and one in the LORD JESUS Christ.

POWER OF COMMUNION

Thursday, April 21, 2011
I Corinthians 23-29 (NIV)
For I received from the LORD what I also passed on to you; The LORD JESUS, on the night He was betrayed, took bread, and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, " This is My Body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of Me." In the same way, after supper He took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in My Blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of Me." For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the LORD'S death until He comes.
Therefore, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the LORD in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the Body and Blood of the LORD. A man ought to examine himself before he eats of the bread and drinks of the cup. For anyone who eats and drinks without recognizing the Body of the LORD eats and drinks judgment on himself.

The Apostle Paul received this message and insight from the LORD and passed it on to us in the Scripture. The Body and Blood of JESUS is Holy and should not be received in a casual or flippant fashion. To do so brings judgment upon anyone who does not regard the Holiness of the Body and Blood of JESUS.

The word "remember" is the essence of of the Hebrew letter Zayin. In Psalm 119: 49-56, each verse begins with the letter Zayin - "Remember". Why are we called to remember? If we do not remember, we will forget the high cost of our redemption. We will forget that grace is free; mercy is free; unconditional love is free, but it cost GOD His only Son.

WE HAD A DEBT WE COULDN'T PAY; JESUS PAID THE DEBT HE DIDN'T OWE;
ALL FOR THE SAKE OF LOVE.

JESUS WASHED OUR FEET FROM THE DUST OF SIN; LET US WASH THE FEET OF OTHERS.

POWER OF COMMUNION

Wednesday, April 20, 2011
I Peter 2:24,25 - NIV
He Himself bore our sins in His Body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by His wounds you have been healed. For you were like sheep going astray, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.

I heard something today that really touched my heart, a friend said that she looked at those who did not know JESUS and love Him, as "sheep without a shepherd". She said that it raised in her a compassion and love for them that was beyond her natural way of reacting.

How wonderful it is to hear a sister in Christ look upon the fallen world as "lost sheep, sheep without a shepherd"! This calls me to reflect on how I can bring these little lambs and big sheep to the Great Shepherd and Overseer of their soul. What can I do to guide and comfort lost sheep into a relationship with the Shepherd, so that they are no longer lost?

When we are in communion with JESUS, there is healing, forgiveness and life. JESUS gave His life upon the "tree" (cross), carrying our sins upon Himself, in order that we would have life for ever and live in righteousness (the right relationship with GOD). By His Blood He reconciled us to GOD and He has given us the ministry of reconciliation, so that others might live.

His Body was broken in pieces, showing us that by many pieces we might become One Body in JESUS Christ.

FAITHFULNESS

Tuesday, April 19, 2011
The Acts 2: 41, 42
Then they that gladly received his word were baptized; and the same day there were added unto them about 3 thousand souls. And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in the breaking of bread and in prayers.

The testimony of Peter brought conversion to JESUS Christ, for many souls. When they received JESUS, they were baptized and the fellowship was increased by 3 thousand souls. These three thousand were then nurtured in the faith by 4 steps: the Apostles' Doctrine, fellowship, Communion/ breaking of bread and prayers.

It is vitally important for those who are new in the faith to be supported and taught by those who have been faithful to JESUS and His Word. Sound teaching and Doctrine handed down from the Apostles through the Holy Scripture must be given to each new convert. If they are not taught, if they are not given fellowship with the family of GOD, if they are left without fellowship and Communion, if the fellowship does not pray for them, then they will fall away by the pull of the world.

The call of GOD to the Church is to bring all souls to Christ JESUS, Baptize them in the Name of JESUS, teach them the sound Doctrine of the Word of GOD, fellowship, Communion and pray for them. Each element is of great importance, because it strengthens a person in the life and teaching of JESUS and in the path of strengthening the faith.

Souls are relying on us to be faithful in our call to support the newly baptized. We are given the mandate to comfort and train the flock of GOD, pointing them to the Good Shepherd and teaching them to listen and hear the sound of His voice. He feeds all of us with His Body and Blood in Communion, we are to pray for all the Church and for each member of it.

LET US BE FAITHFUL TO THE CALL OF JESUS TO NURTURE AND SUPPORT THE NEWLY BAPTIZED INTO CHRIST.

CHRIST OUR PASSOVER

Monday, April 18, 2011
Luke 22:8-14
And He sent Peter and John, saying, Go and prepare the passover for us, that we may eat. And they said unto Him, "Where wilt Thou that we prepare it? And He said unto them, Behold, when ye are entered into the city, there shall a man meet you, bearing a pitcher of water; follow him into the house where he entereth in, and ye shall say into the owner of the house, "The Master saith unto thee, 'Where is the guest room, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples?' "and he shall show you a large upper room furnished; ther make ready. And they went, and found as He had said unto them; and they made ready the passover. And when the hour was come, he sat down, and the twelve apostles with Him.

Tonight, at sundown, the day of Passover will be celebrated throughout the world. The time to remember how the Children of Israel were delivered from the hand of the Egyptians by the mighty Hand of GOD. We remember how GOD passed over the houses, where the blood, of a Lamb without blemish, was applied to the door posts and the lintel. When GOD saw the Blood, the people within the house were saved from the hand of death. Where there was no Blood, the first born of the house died, including the Pharaoh's own house.

JESUS, the only begotten Son of GOD, is the Lamb without spot or blemish, who willingly laid down His life and shed His Blood for the salvation of all Humankind. By His Blood He reconciled us and by His wounds we are healed/saved.

In every aspect of the Passover, celebrated by a Seder meal, we find that JESUS has fulfilled each portion. JESUS is the Blood of Salvation, applied to the door posts and lintel of our heart. In Him and with Him and through Him we have life Eternal and are saved.

PROSPERITY IN CHRIST

Saturday April 16, 2011
Proverbs 11: 24, 25
There is he that scattereth, and he increaseth; and there is he that witholdeth more than is fitting, but it tendeth to poverty. The liberal soul shall be made fat, and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.

Prosperity, giving and prayer

Giving and prayer with obedience to GOD equal the prosperity that is total and assured. JESUS taught that when we sow, we reap; when we do not sow, we can not expect to reap a harvest. The principal of sowing and reaping has everything to do with obedience to GOD. "He that watereth shall be watered also himself." He that withholds the water, the crop will die. The tithe is our response to GOD for His goodness; alms giving is GOD'S response through us to others. GOD is well pleased and honored when we give alms. When we obey GOD, He rewards us.

In Isaiah 55: 10,11 we read "For as rain cometh down and the snow from heaven, and returneth not there, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth; it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing wereto I sent it." GOD'S Word will not return to Him void.

How does GOD'S Word return to Him? When we pray His Word to Him, He will make it happen, because He will always keep His Word.

OBEDIENCE, GIVING AND PRAYER = PROSPERITY FOR ALL

PROSPERITY IN CHRIST

Friday, April 15, 2011
Deuteronomy 29: 9
Keep, therefore, the words of this covenant, and do them, that ye may prosper in all that ye do.

"Keep", "do", and you will prosper. Sounds easy, doesn't it. Obedience to the Word of the LORD has three parts: Read, Keep and do. This means daily discipline. JESUS gave us a New Covenant in His Blood, this Covenant unites us to GOD; our part is to read His Word, keep His commandments and do them by living the way of the LORD.

What is His Commandment? Love the LORD your GOD with all your heart, soul, mind and might and Love your neighbor as yourself. On these two Commandments hang all the law and the Prophets. If you believe it; you will do it; do you believe it?

JESUS Christ opened the door to union with GOD and total access to the Throne of Grace, is there any greater prosperity than that? We can come boldly before the LORD GOD and receive from His Hand mercy and grace just for the asking; is there any greater prosperity that this? The GOD of all creation made it possible for the people whom He created to have total access to Him at all times; is there any greater prosperity than this?

READ THE WORD OF GOD, KEEP THE WORD OF GOD AND DO IT; YOU WILL PROSPER WITH ABUNDANCE

PROSPERITY IN CHRIST

Thursday, April 14, 2011
Psalm 3: 8
Salvation belongeth unto the LORD; Thy blessing is upon Thy people.

The blessing of the LORD is prosperity; salvation and deliverance is the evidence of prosperity. Prosperity is the result of worship, blessing GOD for all His mighty acts in the creation of the World and all that is in it. From His Hand has come all that is good and lovely; from His Hand has come strength and wholeness for His people. When we Bless the LORD with our thanksgiving and worship, He pours out the blessing of abundance.

There are three principles for opening the door to the prosperity of GOD: 1. Obedience; 2. Giving/seed sewing; 3. Prayer. Each of these principles is a sign of our thanksgiving and blessing of GOD; each comes with a blessing from GOD.

THANKS BE TO GOD WHO GIVETH US THE VICTORY THROUGH OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST

PROSPERITY IN CHRIST

Wednesday, April 13, 2011
Psalm 35:27
Let them shout for joy, and be glad, who favor my righteous cause. Yea, let them say continually, "Let the LORD be magnified, who hath pleasure in the prosperity of His servants."

When we magnify the LORD; His promises are yes and amen. The prosperity of the LORD is ours as the heritage of the family of GOD.

What is GOD'S righteous cause? The salvation of all souls. How did He execute His cause? Through the shed Blood of His only begotten Son, JESUS. It is GOD'S will that all people be saved and that not one soul is lost. Our place is to unite ourselves with His Righteous cause and be glad. Our mission is to share the Gospel of JESUS with all people, that they might be saved. We are to speak the message of prosperity in Christ to all the Nations.

The LORD takes pleasure in the prosperity of His servants. Through JESUS Christ, we are no longer servants, but friends and more than friends, we are family members. As family, we are joint heirs with Christ and part of the great family of GOD, washed and cleansed by the Blood of JESUS. All the love, mercy, compassion and grace of our LORD JESUS Christ is ours, through JESUS.

BE GLAD AND REJOICE IN JESUS; MAGNIFY HIS HOLY NAME AND BE BLESSED

PROSPERITY IN CHRIST

Tuesday, April 12, 2011
Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

The word "peace" is the same as "prosperity" in the Hebrew. The NIV says "prosper" whereas the KJV says "peace". We need to understand that prosperity does not always relate to finances or physical reward, but it always relates to the spiritual life. GOD has a plan for everyone and that plan includes: peace, hope and a future. This is GOD'S understanding of prosperity.

The enemy of our souls has a plan, too. In John 10:10 we see his plan, it is to kill, steal and destroy. The next part of that verse gives the plan of JESUS, "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." THAT IS PROSPERITY FROM GOD'S VIEW.

As for me and my house, we want to serve the LORD and receive the blessings of peace in JESUS.

PROSPERITY IN CHRIST

Monday April 11, 2011
Psalm 24:6-10
This is the generation of them who seek Him, who seek thy face, O Jacob.
Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lifted up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? the LORD of hosts, He is the King of glory.

This is the generation of them who seek the LORD. I know, there are many who are turning away from the LORD to seek after their own way of living. Soon, however, they will find out the folly of doing so, and will turn back to GOD. Are you ready to receive them back into the fellowship without condemnation and judgment?

Psalm 24 is the third of the Messianic Psalms: Psalm 22, depicts JESUS as the Good Shepherd who gives his life for the flock of GOD; Psalm 23 depicts JESUS as the Great Shepherd who watches, guards and keeps the flock of GOD, pasturing each and providing for each individual; Psalm 24 depicts JESUS as the Chief Shepherd who will come again as the strong mighty LORD of hosts. All three Psalms show JESUS as the one who brings prosperity to the people of GOD. This prosperity is in Physical and Spiritual wholeness. Why does JESUS bring this prosperity? Because He loves us.

This week, we will look at prosperity from the point of view of the Scripture, to see what the LORD calls prosperity. Today, think about the many ways in which the LORD has blessed your life with abundance. The old song says: "Count your many blessings name them one by one; and it will surprise you what the LORD has done."

EFFECTIVE PRAYER

Saturday, April 9, 2011
Galatians 6:9, 10
And let us not be weary in well doing; for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have, therefore, opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

PERSISTENCE IN WELL DOING

The service of GOD and others is a life time commitment. It is not a secondary commitment, like "I will serve others if I have time." No, we are called to a commitment of our life to the use of GOD for the good of His people.

Right now, we have the opportunity to do good in this world, the door is open for us to gather in the souls to JESUS. Many are calling out for help and we are the hands and feet of Christ, reaching out with the only help that has Eternal meaning. So, "Let us not be weary in well doing, for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not."

Look at the season of planting a garden and the harvest. We wait for the time when there is no frost or snow to kill the plant; we prepare the ground during the waiting time; when we plant the seeds or young plants, we wait for the plants or seeds to mature and bring forth fruit; then we harvest when the fruit/vegetables are ripe. There is a lot of waiting and watching, preparing and hoping, but we are persistent and faithful. The same persistence and waiting is true with prayer. The Apostle Paul reminds us that PERSISTENCE in prayer brings a response from the LORD.

WATCH, WAIT, FAINT NOT; FOR THE DAY OF THE LORD IS AT HAND.
THE LORD IS DEPENDING ON US AND SO ARE MANY SOULS.

PRAYER OF FAITH

Friday, April 8, 2011
Isaiah 62: 6, 7
I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, who shall never hold their peace day or night; ye that make mention of the LORD, keep not silence, and give Him no rest, till He establish, and till He make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

BE PERSISTENT IN PRAYER

Persistence in prayer is part of the fellowship in prayer. When we gather together, in one accord, praying in one heart and mind for the same thing, we must continue to pray until what we ask for happens. Too many people give up, because they do not see a result of the prayer. The LORD respects persistence as part of the act of faith. When we stand on the Word of the LORD and know that He will do what He says, then our persistence is actually continued agreement with Him; thus, an act of faith.

Waiting for an answer is not easy. We live in a society of instant gratification, so when we ask, we what it NOW. GOD does not always work that way. He has a plan for every action of His and every word He speaks. The timing of His actions are critical to His plan, so He may wait and ask us to wait for the fulfillment. Think about the people who loved GOD with all their heart and soul and mind and might, waiting for the coming of the Messiah. They had to wait in Sheol until JESUS came and got them after He had risen from the dead. That was a very long wait, but they did not lose hope.

In Ezekiel 3 and 33, there is a reference to the Watchman on the Wall. This watchman signals warnings to the city. They watch day and night, alert and ever in tune with the LORD. The Watchman speaks a warning to the people and is held accountable to GOD for his words. Intercessors are Watchmen, they watch for the Word from the LORD and they speak His word to the people. Intercessors can be counted on to stand with those who pray and stand in for those who can not or do not pray. Intercessors stand in the gap and are the persistent vehicles of prayer to the LORD.

WATCH AND BE ALERT FOR THE COMING OF THE LORD IS AT HAND

PRAYER OF FAITH

Thursday, April 7, 2011
Matthew 18: 19, 20
Again I say unto you that if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them by My Father, who is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My Name, there am I in the midst of them.

THE PRAYER OF AGREEMENT

Yesterday, I asked if your had confidence that GOD would ACT ON YOUR BEHALF, according to His will, IF YOU ASKED HIM. Today, we will look at the need for fellowship in the Spirit and the prayer of agreement.

We do not have all the answers to all the questions. On the contrary, the Scripture says that the wisdom of man is foolishness with GOD. GOD speaks through His people and gives wisdom to those who ask Him. When two or three are gathered together in His Name and petition Him for the same request, agreeing with the Word of the LORD, He will answer and He will grant the request.

Throughout Scripture, there are many examples of mighty things happening when two or three gathered together and agreed as touching one thing. Also, the disciples were sent out two by two, so that there would be agreement on a matter.

What does it mean when JESUS says that He is "in the midst of them"? The Scripture says that our bodies are the Temple of the Living GOD who is within us. This means that wherever we go, JESUS is there. When two or three are in agreement and gathered in the Name of JESUS, He is in the midst of the Temple that is within each. When there is "one accord", this means that by the Holy Spirit the two or three become one in the Spirit, one in the LORD. This is powerful and effective. On Pentecost, the agreement of the those gathered in the upper room, brought a mighty move of the LORD and fire; the Church was given new life and power. READ THE ACTS CHAPTERS 1 & 2.

What is your need right now? Call for agreement with people of prayer and see the mighty acts of GOD, for you.

PRAYER OF FAITH

Wednesday, April 6, 2011
I John 5:14, 15
And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that, if we ask any thing according to His will, He heareth us; and if we know that He hear us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him.

Do you have confidence in JESUS?
I know, I have probably just insulted you by asking such a question, but it must be asked often to our self. Do you have confidence that JESUS will give us all that we ask, according to His will? Do you know that you have the petitions that we desired of Him? Be honest now, when you answer.

How do we know that we are praying according to His will? The Scripture tells us what His will is, if what you are praying is in accordance with the Word of GOD, then we know we are praying according to His will. Better yet, if you pray His Word, as your petition to Him, He will always fulfill His Word. JESUS is our strong tower and His Word is True.

TRUST IN THE LORD WITH ALL YOUR HEART AND LEAN NOT UNTO YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING; IN ALL YOUR WAYS ACKNOWLEDGE HIM AND HE WILL DIRECT YOUR PATH. (Proverbs 3: 5, 6)

PRAYER OF FAITH

Tuesday, April 5, 2011
Psalm 145: 18, 19
The LORD is near unto all those who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth. He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry, and will save them.

GROUNDED IN GOD'S WORD

In Psalm 145, I am drawn to the words,"call upon Him in truth." Often, I have asked the question, "where can I find truth?" The only answer that makes any sense is, "truth is found in the Word of GOD". Therefore, if I want to find the truth, I need to be grounded in the Scripture.

There is another way of looking at this phrase; JESUS is the person of Truth, and the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth, so, JESUS is the way to Truth and the Holy Spirit inspires the Truth and writes it on our heart. When we are grounded in the Scripture, JESUS shows us the way to live that is pleasing to GOD. The Holy Spirit breathes that Word into our spirit and writes it on our heart.

When we pray the Scripture, we know that we are praying the will of GOD; the LORD, who is near will fulfill the desires of those who fear Him and will save them/us.

CALL UPON THE NAME OF THE LORD AND BE SAVED, YOU AND YOUR HOUSE.

EFFECTIVE PRAYER

Monday, April 4, 2011
James 5: 15,16
And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the LORD shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

The confession of faults and forgiveness are aspects of accountability in the body of Christ. Many are sick in mind, body, and spirit, because they refuse to be accountable to the members of the Body of Christ, JESUS being the Head. JESUS has said: "Inasmuch as you have done it unto one of the least of the brethren, you have done it unto me." So it is to Him that we must be accountable and to His family, the family of GOD.

When we have cleared away the faults and the sins, by throwing them into the sea of the love of JESUS, then we can have effectual and fervent prayer that availeth much. The word "righteous" means "right related" therefore, if you are in right relationship with JESUS, He raises up and heals. The healing of JESUS is in mind, body and spirit, therefore, the person is whole and holy.

PRAY WITHOUT CEASING; FORGIVE WITHOUT CEASING; BE HEALED

VICTORIOUS LIVING - part 5

Saturday, April 2, 2011
Psalm 23: 1(NIV)
The LORD is my Shepherd; I shall not be in want

The word for us from the LORD is that when we follow the lead of the Shepherd (JESUS), we will lack nothing. He leads in tight paths and provides for us those thing which are good for us. He knows the voice of each of His followers, and as we spend time with Him, we, too, will know His voice. JESUS is also our rear-guard, so that nothing can come up behind us. He protects, directs and provides for His flock.
Following, is a daily affirmation for victorious living:
The Lord is my Shepherd - therefore I will not want for anything at all.
The LORD is my ...... (healer, deliverer, provider, rest and strength).
The LORD is - He was from the beginning; He is present now; He will be forever.
The LORD - When all that we know about is gone, the LORD remains.
JESUS IS LORD
