HOLY WEEK

John 13: 1-5
Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that His hour was come that He should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end. And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray Him; Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that He was come from GOD and went to GOD; He riseth from supper and laid aside His garments, and took a towel, and girded Himself. After that He poureth water into a basin, and began to wash the disciples feet, and to wipe them with the towel with which He was girded.
In the Gospel of John, we find some specific information that is very important for all of us to see. Jesus knew "that His hour was come" and Jesus knew that "the Father had given all things into His hands" and Jesus knew that "He was come from GOD and went to GOD". With this amount of knowledge about what was about to transpire in His life, He showed His love to His Disciples in a very extraordinary way, He washed their feet.
It was love that caused Him to leave Glory to come to earth. It was love that caused Him to heal, restore, forgive, make blind see, the deaf hear and the lame walk. It was love that caused Him to be tough on the leaders of the Temple who were not loving to the people. LOVE, unconditional love of the Messiah for all the world. He is the Pascal Lamb, whose Blood Redeems us all.
LOVE LED JESUS TO CALVERY; LOVE DIVINE

HOLY WEEK

Tuesday, March 30,2010
Tuesday of Holy Week
John 12:44-50
Jesus cried out, and said,"He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on Him that sent me and he that seeth Me seeth Him that sent me. I am come a light into the world.
That whosoever believeth on Me should not abide in darkness. And if any man hear My words, and believe not, I judge him not; for I came not to judge the world but to save the world. He that rejecteth Me, and receiveth not My words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. For I have not spoken of Myself; but the Father, who sent Me, He gave Me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. I know that His commandment is life everlasting; whatsoever I speak, therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak."
JESUS left no room for argument in this passage. He says that the words He speaks come directly from the Father GOD. It is up to us as to whether we receive His words, as from the Father and therefore Holy; or to reject the words of JESUS. He will not judge those who reject His word, but the word, itself, will judge them.
All Scripture is given by GOD and therefore should be held in great reverence. It is,THE WORD OF THE LORD.

POWER OF GOD'S WORD - MEEKNESS

MONDAY, MARCH 29, 2010
Matthew 21:5
Tell the daughter of Zion, "Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon as ass, and a colt, the foal of an ass.
Jesus came not to be served, but to serve and give His life a ransom for many. Jesus did not come on a Big, Bold, Stallion, riding with ruffles and flerishes, the pride of the Universe. NO, Jesus came in meekness and humility, riding a beast of burden. The King of Kings and LORD of LORDS did not come to put people into submission by His might; He came to pay the price to ransom back the World, sold into slavery by evil.
Meekness is tender compassion for others and a desire for others to prosper. He came to heal/save (same Greek word - sozo) the World by His obedience to His Father GOD and submission to the plan of GOD for the redemption of the World.
It is through meekness, that greater good is accomplished. He says:"I am meek and lowly of heart, and ye shall find rest unto your soul." The meekness and unconditional love of Jesus overthrew that might of the satan and rendered him unable to steal, kill and destroy.

PALM SUNDAY

Matthew 21:5-10

Tell ye the daughter of Zion, "Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt, the foal of an ass". And the disciples went, and did as Jesus commanded them, and brought the ass, and the colt, and put on them their clothes, and they set Him thereon. And a very great multitude spread their garments in the way; others cut down branches from the trees, and spread them in the way and the multitude that went before, and followed, cried, saying, "HOSANNA TO THE SON OF DAVID! Blessed is He hat cometh in the name of the LORD! HOSANNA IN THE HIGHEST! And when He had come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying "Who is this?"
I often wondered why Jesus wanted two animals. There is an ass and the colt, why? I heard a very old teacher of the Word say this: "The ass had recently given birth to the colt and Jesus, in His mercy would not separate them. Also, Jesus wanted the next generation of the ass to inherit the Blessing." This speaks volumes to me. Jesus is so concerned about the littlest of creation, even above what He is doing Himself. Nothing in the life of Jesus is about Him, it is all about us and the generations that follow.
Not even the loud cry of the multitude could attract Him away from His purpose, but a simple, beast of burden and her colt drew His attention.
What does this say about His attention to us? Does Jesus really care about those little things that bother us? He cares so much that every hair on our head is numbered and not one sparrow falls to the ground that He does not notice.
When we cry to Him for help in our time of need, He answers and extends His blessing to the generations that follow.
Ask, and you shall receive. That is the promise of GOD.

POWER OF GOD'S WORD - PROSPERITY

Saturday, March 27,2010
Proverbs 4:20,21,22
My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart form thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart; for they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.
Let's focus on some key words in this verse: attend, incline, keep, for they are life and health. Health and life flow from the Word of God. When we attend to His Word, we are focused on what is being said to us. When we incline our ear, we are listening. When we keep his Word, we are acting on what we hear and meditate on. The final result is prosperity for us and for our posterity.
I have been made aware of the fact that what I do, is observed by others in my family. They are watching and listening with attentiveness and openness to learn. They may not appear to be looking and listening, but they are. Therefore, what I do is greater instruction to them than what I say. When my life is focused on the Word of GOD, it inspires them to look and see what attracts me so much. When they attend to GOD'S Word, they will begin the path that leads to life and health for them and for all who are observing them.
What we do, makes a huge difference in lives. So, be attentive, incline your heart and keep the Word of GOD. Don't let His word depart from your eyes and keep them in the midst of your heart.

POWER OF GOD'S WORD - PROSPERITY

Friday, March 26, 2010
Acts 6: 7,8
And the Word of GOD increased, and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith. And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people.
WOW! The Word of GOD increased the numbers of people who believed in Jesus. Even the Priests, who were leaders in the organized religion of the time, were brought into obedience to Christ and His Word. There was revival like the world had never seen.
Notice what was happening all around this great movement of the Holy Spirit. There was persecution, attempts by the leaders to stop the movement of the Word of GOD, imprisonments, tortures and murders. Spies were everywhere and they reported to the authorities any action which they termed treasonous. Saul of Tarsus was one of those authorities.
In the midst of this atmosphere of oppression and hostility, the Word of GOD increased and the number of disciples expanded. Even religious leaders were following the faith. Signs and wonders abounded and faith was strong and growing stronger.
There are many folk throughout this world who are oppressed and who live in a hostile environment. The Word of GOD grows among these people. It is very sad that in good times the Good News does not flourish; in bad times it abounds. Why is this so? Why, when things are good, do we let out faith become weak? Why is it that reading, studying, and meditating on Holy Scripture diminishes when we are not threatened? Why does it take stones thrown at us to make us cry out to GOD?
I leave those questions with you to answer, because each person must answer them before GOD. Each of us must examine ourselves to see where we are lacking in devotion. When we uncover the lack, then we have the choice of whether we will grow in devotion or not.
READ GOD'S WORD AND YOUR FAITH WILL GROW EVERY TIME.

POWER OF GOD'S WORD - PROSPERITY

Thursday, March 25, 2010
Psalm 112:1,2,3
Praise ye the LORD, Blessed is the man who feareth the LORD, who delighteth greatly in His commandments. His seed shall be mighty upon earth; the generation of the upright shall be blessed. Wealth and riches shall be in his house; and his righteousness endureth forever.
There is a very practical application of this verse, one which will be true in every generation and in every situation; be honest, truthful and upright in all you do. The bottom line is the fear of the LORD. Do you want to please the LORD? Do you prefer to do the LORD'S work in the LORD'S way or do you prefer to please people and manipulate situations, so that people will approve of you? You have a choice; who will you serve - GOD or man.
These verses tell us the path of GOD'S blessing, which brings prosperity.
1. The fear of the LORD.
2. Delight greatly in His commandments.
Where do we find the clear commandments of the LORD? In His Holy Scripture and through a discipline of prayer. Prayer and study of GOD'S Word build a relationship between the LORD and you. In that relationship there will be an exchange of understanding - He understands you and you understand Him and His ways. His ways are always true, trustworthy and righteous. Then, when you follow Him, you and your family will prosper in every way, including, wealth, riches and long life.
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom and understanding.

Psalm 1:1-3
Blessed is the man who walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law (Word) of the LORD; and in His law (Word) doeth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth fruit in its season; its leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
There are key words in this verse today: Walk, stand, sit, delight, meditate.
When we walk with others, we are in the place of discernment. We can choose where we walk and if we don't like the path, we can walk away. When we stand, we are in a place of agreement and listening. If we do not like what we hear, we still can walk away, but it is getting harder. When we sit down, we are saying, by our body language, that we are in full agreement with the path, and we are listening attentively.
This Psalm cautions us not to walk in the counsel of the ungodly; don't stand in the way of sinners; don't sit in the seat of the scornful. When we see this pattern of ungodliness, sinful behavior and scornful attitude and speech, DON'T WALK, STAND OR SIT WITH THEM.
When we delight and meditate on the Word of the LORD, we have clarity about where we are to walk, sit, and stand. The Word of the LORD is the best discernment tool that we can read, because it is GOD'S Word and the Holy Spirit will give understanding of that Word for our life.
Those who delight and meditate the Word of the LORD will prosper. God always prospers the path of those who walk in His counsel; who stand in the way of His Word and sit in the seat that He has prepared for them, the seat of Love.

POWER OF GOD'S WORD - PROSPERITY

Tuesday, March 23,2010
Mark 4:20
And these are they that are sown on good ground, such as hear the Word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty and some an hundred.
Prosperity stands on the Word of God, because GOD stands on His Word. Do you want to prosper in the things which involve your life? Do you want to see prosperity for your family, friends and neighbors; your business, volunteer work and your Church? Then, The Gospel according to Mark has a key that will not fail.
1. Be good ground, open, soft, receptive for the Word of the LORD to dwell in you richly.
2. Hear the Word of the LORD in your ear and in the ear of your heart. Meditate on GOD'S Word and make it your daily bread. Eat it, chew it and make it a part of every cell in your body, mind and spirit.
3. Receive it as your way of life. Walk in the Word, feast on its riches, delight in it and be open to it's direction.
4. Do it. Be a doer of the Word, not just a hearer. Action produces fruit.
When we are doers of the Word, abundance will be the result. "Thirty, sixty and a hundred fold."
Why is this so, because GOD said so. BELIEVE IT OR NOT

POWER OF GOD'S WORD - PROSPERITY

Monday, March 22, 2010
Isaiah 55:11
So shall the Word be that goeth forth out of my mouth; it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the things whereto I sent it.
It is true and confirmed by many witnesses, that when the Word of the LORD is spoken, things happen. As a matter of fact, something happens every time the Word of the LORD is proclaimed. You might not see the result right away, but the Word is seed and it will accomplish some change.
GOD sends His Word for a purpose and what follows that purpose is prosperity. The Word of GOD is alive, active and powerful. It is the very breath of GOD flowing from His mouth. There is no power greater than GOD and no power can block the mighty work of GOD. He will accomplish His purpose and give prosperity to those who receive and build on His Word.
I love the term, "not return to Him void". When the Word of GOD goes forth, it does not come back to Him without accomplishing what it was intended to do.
Let's look at the word, "prosperity". This word means "abundance". When the Word of GOD goes forth, abundance follows.
What do you need right now? Speak the Word of the LORD to that need and watch the way GOD will prosper His Word. Speak to your sickness and say, "By His stripes I am healed". Speak to your finances and say, "My GOD shall supply all my need according to His riches in Glory in Christ JESUS."
THE LORD IS WORKING, WATCH AND SEE THE MANIFESTATION OF HIS POWER.

Power of God's Word - Comfort and Hope

Saturday, March 20, 2010
2 Corinthians 1:3-7
Blessed be God, even the Father of our LORD JESUS Christ, the Father of mercies, and the GOD of all comfort, who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them who are in any trouble, by the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted of GOD. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our counsolation also aboundeth by Christ, and whether we be afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer; or whether we be comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation. And our hope of you is steadfast, knowing that, as ye are partakers of the suffering, so shall ye be also of the consolation.
Many people are suffering in many different ways throughout this world. The verse for today, speaks a word of encouragement to all who are suffering in any way. The words of St. Paul are an answer to the eternal question: "Why is there so much suffering in the world? Why do good people suffer?" Paul says that it is part of the sufferings of Christ and that it is Jesus Christ who gives comfort in those times. Then it is our task to comfort others with the Love of Christ, giving consolation and comfort to them, with the compassion of Christ.
We are the hands and feet of Christ in this world, bringing hope to the hopeless, peace to the troubled, rest to the weary, healing to the sick, comfort to those who mourn. We bring beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.
We bring the Love of Christ into this world

The Power of God's Word - Comfort and Hope

Friday: March 19, 2010
1 Corinthians 14:3
But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification and exhortation and comfort.
Prophecy, is the speaking forth of the Word of GOD. It is the role of the preacher and teacher of God's Word. The Prophet is a person who only speaks GOD'S Word and does not mingle his thoughts and understanding with that of the Word.
Prophecy is an essential element in the Church, so that the people will hear GOD'S Word and build their life on Him, not on any other ground. The Prophet is anointed to edify the Church, exhort the people to GODly action and to comfort those who morn or are aflicted. Edification, exhortation and comfort touch every aspect of the Church which is built on Christ JESUS, therefore, the Word of the LORD is essential.
In Psalm 119:45, 46; we hear words about the Word, hope and comfort: "Remember the Word unto thy servant, upon which thou has caused me to hope. This is my comfort in my affliction; for Thy Word hath given me life." When we remember the Word of the LORD, we have hope; the Word comforts us when we are afflicted, because the Word is LIFE.

Power of God's Word - Comfort and Gives Hope

Thursday: March, 18, 2010
Romans 15:4
For whatever things were written in earlier times; were written for our learning, that we, through patience and comfort of the Scripture, might have hope.
The Holy Scripture is God's Love letter to humanity. He has poured out love in every page of His Holy Word. Even in the hard words of JESUS, there are words of instruction that lead to comfort. Hard words are the Father's love correcting His Children. All God asks of us is to follow Him and we will have abundant life.
Look at the four strong words in this verse from Romans: Learning, patience, comfort and hope. When we read and study the Scripture, we learn the way of Godly living. We can not learn this way by reading "self-help" books. We learn the Way of the LORD by reading His Word.
We learn through the patience of practice. A regular discipline of reading and studying God's Word produces great fruit in our life, the fruit of the Spirit of God. The basic questions of life and all the convoluted questions have an answer in the Scripture.
When we read, study and inwardly digest His Word we have the comfort of knowing who we are and what we are here to accomplish in this life. God speaks to our heart and mind the things which He wants us to understand.
This knowledge brings comfort so that we can, in turn, comfort others.
When we have comfort, we are able to give to oureselves and to others the gift of hope. All the promises of God are "yes and Amen". When we read, learn, study, receive and apply God's Word, we know in our heart that whatever God promises we have it. Our Hope is in the LORD.
GOD LOVES YOU, PASSIONATELY

Power of God's Word - Joy

Wednesday: March 17,2010
Isaiah 55:12
For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace; the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
The verse before this says that the Word of God will accomplish the purpose for which God has sent His word and will give prosperity down the line of the purpose for which it was sent. The Word of the LORD is so glorious and His promises are so wonderful that all nature will rejoice with singing and clapping.
Imagine the sound of that resounding song of praise; some might think that it was thunder. Imagine what it would be like if all nature and all humankind would shout and sing; clap and dance in joyful praise and thanksgiving to the LORD. Oh what a glorious day! Oh what a glorious sound!
Do we have to wait for that day? I feel that outburst of exaltation every time I read the Word of the LORD. JESUS speaks in every page and every verse. His great love has caused His Word to reach to the ends of the earth. We can receive His love daily and we can feel the great joy that unfolds by reading His Word.
A friend of mine used to say: "The Bible is GOD'S Love letter to humanity. I read His love letter every day." John 15:13 says: Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. JESUS gave His life for us out of great love, all we have to do is reach out and receive Him.
There is such power in the Word of the LORD that all nature sings and claps with joy.
Rejoice in the Lord all ye people; shout with joy to the GOD of our salvation

Power of God's Word - Joy

Tuesday, March 16, 2010
John 15: 11
These things have I spoken unto you, that My joy might remain in you and that your joy might be full.
Joy is part of the Fruit of God's Holy Spirit. When we are filled with Him, we are filled with Godly joy. This joy is not the same as "happiness". It is a joy that transcends the conditions of life. Love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, gentleness, meekness, faith, and self-control (the fruit of the Spirit) does not depend on the conditions of life; it depends on the presence of God.
The conditions of this earthly life are not always happy, but they can be filled with joy. JESUS' life was not always happy, but, we see in this verse, that it was filled with joy.
Why is this so? Because God was with Him and in Him. When we follow the example of JESUS and never leave the First Love - GOD, we have all the strength and power to endure whatever conditions enter into our life. If we are bombarded by storms in mind, body and spirit, we have the Joy of the LORD which is our strength. Trouble is transformed to triumph at the presence of the LORD. He is in you and with you through it all. The joy of the LORD is our Salvation from situations that are beyond our control.
GIVE HIM CONTROL AND WATCH HIM WORK, HE WILL GIVE YOU JOY.

POWER OF GOD'S WORD - JOY

Monday: March 15, 2010
Jeremiah 15:16
Thy words were found, and I did eat them, and Thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart; for I am called by Thy Name, O LORD GOD of hosts.
When we find the Word of the LORD in His Holy Scripture, we have found great joy that reaches to the heart and strikes a golden chord in our soul.
Why is this so? What causes us to resonate so perfectly with the Word of the LORD? Why does our heart rejoice at the sound of the Word of the LORD?
The last line of this verse tells us the answer to all three of the questions above: For I am called by Thy Name, O LORD GOD of hosts. We are part of the family of GOD, when we accept JESUS as our LORD and Savior. When we hear the Word of our Father or read the Word, in our heart a song is heard, a song of the family of GOD. This song brings such joy that out of our mouth bursts forth praise as we proclaim: Great is the LORD and greatly to be praised.
Let everything that hath breath, praise the LORD! Praise Ye the LORD!
